Measure roof pitch with your phone (Pro), a redesigned map, and a much faster first download. ROOF PITCH (PRO) • Lay your phone on the roof or along a rafter to read its pitch, like 6/12. It holds the reading for you. Find it on the Dashboard. A REDESIGNED MAP • Search any address, city or ZIP from the bar at the bottom of the map. Recent searches are saved. • The map controls stay on screen: Layers (map style, risk outlook, live radar), Filter and Locate. • Map Filter opens at half height, so the pins update as you change it. • Tap and hold a report to see only that day's reports. Tap the X beside the date to bring every day back. • Reports from the same spot now spread apart, so you can open each one. • Weather now lives on the Dashboard instead of the map. HAIL HISTORY • Tap a storm date to see that day around the address on the map (Pro for storms older than 30 days). • Reopening Hail History for the same pin no longer uses another free lookup. ALSO • Tips point out hidden gestures where you use them, and Profile > Tips covers the whole app. • A new app icon. • App news notifications stay off unless you turn them on. • The Dashboard's Alerts tile shows when it last checked, and never shows "All clear" when it couldn't check. • Latest Storms now lists the 10 newest storm days for Pro, even in busy weeks. • Better VoiceOver support on the map, plus contrast and Dark Mode fixes.

The Morning Hail Outlook is now free for everyone. Pick an alert area and get a heads-up on mornings when SPC hail risk reaches 15% or more near you. Storm Report alerts, a per-area digest as hail lands with report count and max hail size, now join Hail Yeah Pro alongside the Evening Storm Summary. Notification Types shows free and Pro types in their own sections. Also: alert subscriptions re-sync automatically after this change, and the upgrade sheet now mentions Storm Report alerts.

• Faster first launch — performance update • Storm times now show in the storm's LOCAL time zone, so an evening storm reads as evening — not the next morning. • Every report now shows its ZIP code. • Built for spotty connections: if your signal drops mid-update, the map keeps showing your saved reports and picks up right where it left off — with a "last updated" indicator so you always know how fresh the data is. • Wind speeds now display in mph. • Tap any report and a highlight ring shows exactly which one you've selected.
