AEROPULSE by Nomad Air

Avionics system

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Full glass cockpit on your iPad or iPhone. Speed tape, artificial horizon, heading bug, engine instruments — built for experimental builders. AEROPULSE transforms your iPhone or iPad into a full-featured Primary Flight Display for experimental and homebuilt aircraft. Designed from the ground up for builders flying Rotax-powered kit planes — including the Zenith CH-750 STOL, RV series, and other Light Sport and Experimental aircraft. INSTRUMENTS AT A GLANCE • Artificial Horizon with pitch ladder, roll arc, and slip/skid ball • Airspeed Tape with FAA-standard colour bands — white arc (flap operating), green arc (normal), yellow caution, red never-exceed line • Altitude Tape with vertical speed indication • Heading Strip with settable course bug and CDI deviation needle — know immediately when you're on course • Turn command overlay — large directional cue tells you which way to turn and how many degrees to intercept your course ENGINE MONITORING • RPM with redline alert • Oil pressure and oil temperature with configurable green band limits • Coolant temperature • Fuel flow and per-tank fuel levels with percentage readout • EGT and CHT for each cylinder BUILT FOR YOUR AIRPLANE Every limit in AEROPULSE is configurable. Set your aircraft's exact Vs0, Vs1, Vno, and Vne so the speed tape reflects your POH — not someone else's. Enter your fuel tank capacities for accurate fuel state. Dial in your engine's oil pressure and temperature green bands for your specific powerplant. All settings are saved on-device and persist between flights. Switch between knots and MPH with a single tap. DEMO MODE Show off your glass cockpit on the ground. Demo Mode generates a realistic looping flight — smooth banking circles, altitude excursions, sinusoidal airspeed variation, live engine data, and slowly draining fuel tanks. Perfect for airshows, EAA chapter presentations, and getting your passengers excited before departure. DESIGNED FOR THE COCKPIT AEROPULSE uses a clean full-screen layout optimised for bright outdoor readability. Swipe between the PFD, Engine panel, and Settings with a single gesture. The display is engineered for landscape orientation on iPad and iPhone, so it fits naturally on a panel or yoke mount. WHO IS IT FOR? AEROPULSE is intended for experimental and amateur-built aircraft as a supplemental situational-awareness display. It is not certified under FAA TSO and is not intended as a primary instrument for IFR flight. It is ideal for: • Experimental/Amateur-Built (E-AB) aircraft builders and pilots • Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) pilots • Student builders using EAA Chapter 1000 SportAir workshops • Zenith, Van's, Kitfox, Sonex, and other kit aircraft communities • Anyone who wants a capable, configurable glass cockpit display without the $10,000 avionics shop bill REQUIREMENTS • iPhone or iPad running iOS 16 or later • GPS hardware (built-in iPhone/iPad GPS supported) • Optional: AeroPulse DataLink hardware module for direct engine sensor input (coming soon)
