Trip planning made easy: The trip planner now works across fixture schedules. Browse competitions, add matches with the plus button and plan your next groundhopping trip directly from the fixture screens. The planner stays visible as you navigate between screens. Self-created matches can now be deleted — just swipe left. As long as no one else has checked in, you can remove the match. All German state cups are now available. Cup matches always show regardless of league level filter.

Add past matches: You can now search for past matches from our database and check in retroactively. Just tap the plus icon on your matches list and search for a team. Cup rounds are now color-coded. Finals in green, semi-finals in orange and quarter-finals in blue. When creating a cup match, you can select the round directly. Creating new competitions is now easier. Choose between league and cup, between men's and women's, and get naming tips. All German state cups are now available. Self-created matches can be deleted as long as no one else has checked in. Toggle it on before you check in and get the full picture. Country detection now works based on the actual stadium location, not the league. This fixes cases like Auckland FC in the A-League being correctly assigned to New Zealand. Your manual country assignments now help other users automatically. We also fixed ground resolution for international competitions like the Champions League, Europa League, and World Cup. Matches now correctly show up with their stadium and country. Plus various bug fixes and performance improvements throughout the app.

This update brings a redesigned check-in success screen with team logos and your chosen beer. Stadium names are now tappable throughout the app, taking you directly to the ground profile. Likes are more interactive too – tap on a username to visit their profile, or tap "and X others" to see the full list of people who liked a post. The Nearby screen now hides past matches and the day filter works with full calendar days, so "1 day" means all of today. We also fixed push notifications so you'll reliably receive alerts for check-ins and friend activity. The feed now prioritizes fresher content, and various bugs have been squashed.

When signing up, you can now choose your username, upload a profile picture, and set your favorite club and nationality right from the start. You can update these details anytime in settings. On profiles, your favorite club and nationality are displayed as tappable badges – tap them to see the leaderboard of all Groundhoppers supporting the same club or country. New: Privacy controls for nationality and favorite club – you decide who can see this information.

In this version you can now add the beer being served at the stadium when checking in – the most popular beer brand is automatically shown on the ground profile. We've also improved the Nearby filter: matches can now be filtered by league level and kick-off times are sorted correctly. Minor bug fixes in the followers and following lists, plus a link to the terms of service during registration complete this update.
