The home-screen widget grew a large size and learned to say *when* — and Fabe now tells you when a reminder's notification isn't going to arrive, instead of letting you find out by missing it. - **A large home-screen widget.** Alongside the small and medium sizes there's now a large one, laid out as its own thing rather than a stretched medium: a header band over a list of up to seven items, grouped under Overdue, Today and Upcoming, each group in time order. If a group is empty it isn't shown, so the space goes to what you actually have. - **The medium widget shows more.** It carries five items instead of three, filling space that used to sit empty. - **Every widget row now shows when it's due.** A time for something due today, a date for anything further out — so a glance at the widget tells you *when*, not just *what*. - **Fabe warns you when a notification won't arrive.** Saving a reminder used to report success whether or not its notification was actually scheduled. If notifications are turned off, or scheduling fails, the reminder still saves — but Fabe now says so, and offers to take you to the setting that fixes it. - **The Notifications permission button works.** In Settings → App Permissions, tapping Notifications did nothing at all: no prompt, no explanation, no change. Going back now works the way it should. Swipe from anywhere on the screen, not just the very edge — and Fabe asks before it throws away anything you were part way through writing. - **Swipe back from anywhere.** The back swipe used to only register if your thumb started within a few millimetres of the left edge. Now it picks up a swipe that starts anywhere on the screen, and the page follows your finger so you can peek and change your mind. - **Swipe back on the Calendar.** The Calendar, Reminders and other main screens had no back swipe at all — there was nothing behind them to go back to. A swipe now returns you to Home from any of them. - **Fabe asks before discarding your edits.** Leaving a half-written note, task or reminder used to lose it without a word. Now you're asked first, whichever way you leave — swipe, back arrow, or the system gesture. Swiping over the month grid, a map, or a card still does what it always did, so nothing you already rely on has changed. - **The search field no longer hides behind the keyboard.** Tapping search raised the keyboard directly on top of the field you were about to type in. The bar now lifts clear of it. - **Tapping the widget's + twice opens one screen, not two.** - **A broken link no longer strands you.** Opening a Fabe link that doesn't point anywhere used to leave you on a blank technical screen with no way out. Unrecognised links are now ignored, and anything unexpected gets a proper screen with a way back Home. As always, thank you for using Fabe.

The biggest update since the widget: search now reaches everything in Fabe, the bottom bar has been rebuilt around it, and cards answer to a swipe. - Search across the whole app. Tap the search icon in the bottom bar and it grows into a search field. One query looks through your notes, tasks, reminders, calendar items and even settings — grouped by type, with the best match promoted to the top and your matched words highlighted. Recent searches are one tap away. - A redesigned bottom bar. Home, Calendar and Reminders sit alongside Search and Add in a single floating bar. Tasks and Notes now open from the Home screen's own section headers, so the bar stays uncluttered. - Overdue counts you can trust. The red badges on Home and Reminders show everything that's overdue, and they stop changing as you move between tabs. - Swipe to delete or complete. On Tasks, Reminders and Notes, swipe a card left to delete it — with an Undo if you change your mind — or right to mark it done. Swipe right again to bring a completed item back. - A clearer Home screen. Today's date and how many things are on it now lead the screen, replacing the old summary cards. - Daily Overview counts are correct again. The morning notification counted the wrong day's items, so a reminder set for later today could be missed entirely. It now counts the day it actually arrives. Plus polish throughout: the floating bar reads cleanly in both light and dark mode, and search results keep an even rhythm instead of ragged rows. As always, thank you for using Fabe.

A couple of fixes following up on the new widget in 26.8.9. - **Fixed a data-migration issue.** On some installs that had tried an early beta of the widget, updating to 26.8.9 could make tasks and reminders appear missing. They were never deleted — this release recovers them automatically the next time you open the app. - **Fixed the Restore Backup screen.** Backup files could appear greyed out and unselectable when trying to restore from a `.fabe` backup.
