Meet My Bank — chores now teach real money skills. MY BANK, FOR EVERY ALLOWANCE KID Kids get their own bank page: a spending balance, a savings balance, and arrows to move money between them. Savings earn weekly interest — you set the rate, it lands every Sunday — and a growth chart shows what saving $1 a week, half a week, or a whole week of chores becomes in a month, six months, a year. Tap "How does compound interest work?" and the math is right there, with their real numbers. Kids don't just earn allowance anymore — they learn what to do with it. CHORES SHOW WHAT THEY PAY For allowance kids, every chore card now shows its dollar value, the home screen shows spending and savings side by side, and a weekly bar tracks what's earned against what's still up for grabs — so "can I do one more chore?" becomes a question you actually hear. STARTER CHORES IN ONE TAP Adding a kid now ends with one tap that assigns the great first chores — Make Bed, Tidy Room, Brush Teeth, Get Dressed — so every kid walks out of setup with a working list. MORE CHORE ICONS New icons for music practice and a whole farm set — collecting eggs, feeding animals, barn work — for families whose chores don't stop at the back door. Homework got a big upgrade — and the youngest kids get a view made just for them. HOMEWORK HELPER, LEVELED UP (PRO) One photo was never enough for real homework. Kids can now snap up to six pages in one session — math, reading, science, all of it together — and the AI sorts out which pages belong to which assignment and checks each one separately. Hints guide their thinking without giving answers away. And for older kids, the checker is now an honest reviewer: every error gets called out specifically, and work with real mistakes goes back for a fix before it counts. You see every page and every correction in your review, so you always know exactly where things stand. PICTURE CARDS FOR LITTLE KIDS Kids 4–7 now see their chores as big picture cards — they find "Feed the Pet" by the picture, no reading required. Points, streaks, and checkmarks live right on each card. Older kids keep their own looks, untouched. A FASTER WAY TO PICK CHORES The chore catalog is now a browsable grid of picture cards, organized by room, with a "Great first chores" row up top. And time-of-day finally works the way you'd expect: set or change Morning / Afternoon / Evening on any chore after assigning it, and your kids' chore lists group by it — the same way theirs do. YOUR COACH NOTE, ORGANIZED The daily coach note now comes in three parts: What's great, Worth a look (only when there's genuinely something), and How to encourage — one concrete thing to say to your kid today. Each post shows who did the chore, the photo, and what the AI saw — approve or send back right from the card, with points on the button. When several chores have already passed the AI check, approve them all in one tap. A badge on the Activity tab always shows how many are waiting for you. NEW: YOUR DAILY COACH NOTE A short daily note at the top of your dashboard, written from your family's real week: who's on a roll, who tried something for the first time, and when someone's earned a high-five. It knows the difference between a busy week and a breakthrough — because it's watching quality, not just counting. NEW: A GROWN-UP LOOK FOR OLDER KIDS Kids 13+ get their own style — cleaner type, a calmer deep-indigo theme, and no more dino intro. Same chores, same points, same games; it just doesn't feel like a little-kid app anymore. Younger kids keep the full ChoreChomp world exactly as it was. SMARTER, FAIRER CHECKING - Partial credit is now truly partial — a mostly-clear floor earns most of the points, not none of them. - If a photo can't prove a chore (like brushing teeth), the app tells you and offers tap-to-check instead. - Kids who stop making progress on a tricky chore are guided to send it to you rather than retrying forever. Smarter photo checks Chores that happen outside — walking the dog, feeding animals, raking leaves — no longer get turned away for "not looking like a chore." Neither do photos with a hand, an arm, or a jacket on a hook in the frame. And when a photo isn't quite right, kids now get a tip and another try instead of a dead end. Chores a photo can't show Brushing teeth, showering, getting dressed and taking medicine are now check-off chores. Kids tap when they're done and you approve — no more hunting for a photo that proves someone brushed their teeth. We've switched existing chores like these over for you.
