Your Gymbiotes now battle on platforms you choose, and the app works when your gym has no signal. BATTLE PLATFORMS Every gym badge you earn unlocks that element's battle platform. Choose a far platform and a near one separately in your Profile, mix them however you like, and your Gymbiotes stand on them in every battle. Eighteen to collect, one for each element. BATTLE TAGLINES Write a line that your opponent reads when you enter a PvP battle. Forty characters to say whatever you want, as long as you keep it clean. PLAY WITHOUT A SIGNAL The app no longer needs a connection to know who you are. Stay signed in, open it in a basement gym with no bars, and everything still works. Start a workout, check your team, battle an encounter you banked earlier. It saves to your phone and syncs the moment you are back online, without losing what you did while you were away. Widgets Hygiene now shows on your home screen widget alongside Joy and Hunger, so you can spot a Gymbiote that needs a trip to the Spa without opening the app. Energy has moved to its own row. Instead of a plain checkmark, you now see READY when a Gymbiote can train, a countdown while it recharges, or its battle status such as Burned, Frozen, or Asleep in that status colour. Gymbiotes screen Your team row now sits just above the menu bar, and the Sanctuary fills the space above it. Saved Team Comps moved behind its own button so the Sanctuary has more room. Workout timer The timer on your lock screen stays put when you unlock your phone. It now picks up from your real workout time instead of restarting at zero. *Shiny* variants have arrived! Every wild gymbiote now has a 1/1024 chance to spawn in a rare shiny form. Look for the gold * SHINY badge in the Gymbiote details modal and on both battle name plates. Balance pass a broad species base-stat rebalance ensures common gymbiotes stay competitive with rarer ones when bonded. A new bond-stage multiplier (up to +30% at max bond) rewards long-term teams, and every stat boost you've earned through workouts carries forward untouched. Your Gymbiotes now need looking after. Post-cruise-test bug batch based on real-world offline / low-signal testing: CRITICAL FIXES: • Fixed a crash that could hit after a post-workout move-learn decision. • External music (Spotify, Apple Music, podcasts) now correctly stays playing OR properly resumes after battles based on your Battle Music setting — no more silent playlists. • Battles offline no longer get stuck at "Preparing battle..." forever — assets now time out gracefully so the battle can proceed with fallback visuals. QUALITY OF LIFE: • Wild encounter spawn rate slowed from 4-6 min to 6-10 min. Free-tier recovery slots were filling in 11 minutes — now more spread out. • Bond candy step tracker no longer nags with "next in ### steps" after you've claimed the day's candy — shows "Claimed today " instead. • Login screen polished: GYMBIOTE title centered + real loading spinner on the Sign In button. • Trainer XP toast at end of workout no longer shows raw floating-point numbers (was showing "+208.53801199999995 XP") — clean integer now.

Wild bond down-scales to trainer level — Bonded wilds now join your team at your trainer level (recomputed stats + moves), no matter how strong they were in the wild. Dr Chen callout on first bond explains the lore. Universal battle intro tear — Every battle now opens with the frequency-tear intro, tinted by battle type (species-rarity for wilds, gym color for gym battles, red for Tether, green for trainer battles). Battle music picker (public) — Consolidated to a single In-App / External choice under Settings. In-App plays bundled tracks and pauses your Spotify/Podcast; External keeps your audio running with SFX only. Improvements UI Sounds + Battle SFX slider split — Independent volume for menu chimes vs battle move sounds. Battle animation pass — Fixes for ~110 move VFX across every element: sprite direction on enemy-cast attacks, sheet rotations that were misaligned, impacts landing below target center, and buff/debuff auras being blocked by sprite layering. Includes Phantom Shroud re-anchor onto the target, Fae Enchant/Hopeful Spirit rendering above the target sprite, and correct behavior for Monsoon, Sleep Wave, Fae Drain, and all-out multi-hit moves.
