Depth of field is the difference between a portrait that breathes and one that doesn't, between a landscape that's crisp to the horizon and one that goes soft where it matters. Most of us learned it from tables and formulas. DoF turns it into something you can see: a live viewfinder strip with a green in-focus band, soft blur gradients at both edges, and a subject pin you drag with your thumb. A rebuilt first run
Onboarding now opens on a live blur-falloff strip that reacts as you choose your sensor, so the numbers mean something before you reach the calculator. Your exact body is one search away.
Fixes
• Long distances that are genuinely finite are no longer rounded to infinity
• Stepping past the end of the distance slider keeps a real distance
• Readouts show fewer decimals without discarding the precision you typed
• The At Hyperfocal badge now appears only at the exact hyperfocal distance
