This 1.4.1 update is a round of fixes. • Your backup, checked before we mention it: signing in on a new phone could say nothing was backed up while iCloud was still loading it. It now waits for the real answer. • Clearer sign-in: restoring names which copy you keep, iCloud's or this phone's, and errors say what to do next. • Word lists read as lists: review cards no longer put a plus sign between words, which made "Puti, Itim, Pula" look like a sum. • Fixed overlapping text on word pages and lesson breakdowns, where a longer label ran over the one beside it.

Signing in is optional, everything works without an account. • @handles for everyone: yours is waiting from your first launch, no sign up needed. Sign in to change it. • A leaderboard: signed-in learners ranked by Tagalog XP, with your row highlighted and a celebration when you climb. Open it from the banner on your Profile. • iCloud backup, free on every plan: your streak, XP and finished lessons save automatically. Set up a new iPhone with the same Apple Account and Tarsier offers to bring it all back. • Profile is a tab again, rebuilt: your learner card, streak, achievement badges and learning stats on one page, with Insights folded in. • Achievements and avatars: earn badges for lessons, streaks, words and XP, and pick any Tarso pose as your profile picture. • The Words tab, rebuilt: definitions, examples and loanword origins on every word page, with filters and search from the header. • Practice tickets: review hearts are tickets now, with a counter in the header and a card showing when the next one arrives. Free learners still get three a day, Super is still unlimited. • A cleaner shell: four tabs, a new header layout on every page, and counters that open as a card sliding over the page. Fixes • Fixed the Learn map going unresponsive after switching tabs, where taps on units looked dead or opened the wrong page. • Switching tabs no longer resets your scroll position. • Smoother scrolling on the Learn map and in the word lists. • Fixed a Sweethearts review that could not be finished because its word bank was missing the words needed to build the answer. • Fixed quiz prompts for house, home and wallet that included a hint giving away the answer.

Fixes and polish. • Fixed sound effects and word pronunciation being silent when your ring/silent switch was on. Audio now plays like it does for music and podcasts. • The learning map scrolls smoothly again while still jumping to your current unit. • Fill-in-the-blank questions with four choices now lay out in a tidy grid so longer words aren't cut off. • Respond questions always show the English translation now, so you can follow along even with hints off. • Fixed the Motivations section in Settings showing blank when your only reason was one you typed yourself. • Insights detail pages now show the same graph as their summary card.

Tarsier 1.3 is our biggest update yet! New • A whole new chapter: Animals (Hayop). Five units and 25 words across pets, the farm, the zoo, reptiles, and the sea, with facts like why the kalabaw is the national animal. • Practice, rebuilt: a new home with Today's Review, a build-your-own session picker, and Weak Words that drill what keeps tripping you up. Pick how long each session runs. • Pick up where you left off: leave mid-lesson and your progress is saved, with a Lesson Paused screen when you return. Onboarding resumes too. • Answer first, learn on the reveal: hints are off by default now, and the translation appears under every choice after you check. • A cleaner map: related units sit side by side in a grid, each unit page is colored in its own shade, and finished milestones show the date you achieved them. • Dark mode arrives (Super), and the Words tab is now organized by chapter. • Quick in-lesson controls: a gear for volume, sound, haptics, and hints without leaving.
