Rootsy: Plant Identifier

Disease Diagnosis & Care Guide

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Yellow leaves? Start with a photo check, then keep the next step close: plant care plans, soil-check reminders, photo history and questions about your plant. Yellow leaves, drooping stems, soil that never seems to dry—caring for a plant can leave you guessing. Rootsy helps you understand what you are seeing and decide what to check next. IDENTIFY YOUR PLANT Take a photo or choose one from your library. See a possible plant match, review the uncertainty and correct the identity when you know more. CHECK WHAT MAY BE WRONG Add photos of the whole plant and the problem area, then share what you know about its care. Get possible causes, visible clues and a practical next step. AI can make mistakes; photo checks are guidance, not a confirmed diagnosis. GIVE EACH PLANT A CARE PLAN Save plants by name and room. Choose when to check the soil, inspect leaves or follow up on a problem. Record what you did, postpone a task when needed and set reminders that fit your day. Soil checks help you decide whether to water instead of following a fixed watering schedule. KEEP A PHOTO HISTORY Save check-ins, notes and care actions in one place. Look back at dated photos and observations to see what has changed. ASK ABOUT YOUR PLANT Ask follow-up questions using your plant's saved checks, care plan and answers as context. USE PRACTICAL CARE TOOLS Review watering conditions, work through repotting questions and compare light at different spots using a camera-based estimate. Phone cameras are not calibrated light meters. KEEP THE NEXT CHECK IN VIEW Add a Home Screen widget to see upcoming plant care and open the right plant quickly. YOUR COLLECTION STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE No account is needed. Plants and history are stored locally and do not sync between devices through Rootsy. Export a copy or delete local records in Settings. AI photo checks and chat require an internet connection and your consent to send selected photos and plant details for processing. Saved records and manual care remain available when AI is turned off. FREE AND PRO Try Rootsy free with one photo check, one follow-up check, one saved plant and three chat messages. Free checks show the likely plant, its health and the most likely cause. Rootsy Pro unlocks the full result (today's suggested action, the clues behind each cause, care basics and suggested checks) and expands your collection and AI use. Manual care, reminders, photo check-ins, history and care tools are included, and pet-safety warnings are never locked. General service limits apply. SUBSCRIPTIONS Rootsy Pro is available as an auto-renewing weekly or yearly subscription. The price and billing period are shown before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel in your App Store account settings. Restore purchases in Rootsy Settings.
