GreenBook is a community-powered guide built for people who've been left out of the review conversation. Instead of a single number, we ask real questions — Did they understand the assignment? Did it feel like your people run this place? Was it worth your money? — and show you scores from people who share your background.
Here's how it works:
LEAFLET REVIEWS Leave a Leaflet instead of a star rating. Six quick sliders, each one tailored to the type of business. A salon gets asked about execution and vibe. A restaurant gets asked about food, hospitality, and belonging. Every question was written for the way real people talk — not a corporate survey.
SEE WHAT YOUR COMMUNITY THINKS Tap the leaf badge on any business to toggle between the overall score and what people like you rated it. Filter by background, age group, spending bracket, or local vs. visitor. You'll know if a spot is your speed before you spend a dime.
5,000+ BLACK-OWNED AND LOCAL BUSINESSES Restaurants, salons, cafes, lounges, wellness studios, auto shops, and more across your city. Each one listed with hours, photos, distance, and both a Google rating and a community Leaflet score side by side.

WHY WE BUILT THIS Star ratings are broken. A 4.2 doesn't tell you whether the barber can cut your hair texture. It doesn't tell you if the host will seat you in the back. It doesn't tell you if the menu has anything you recognize. GreenBook asks the questions that matter and shows you answers from the people whose experience mirrors yours.

LEAF LEVELS
Your reviews now earn points, and points move you up five tiers,
Seedling to Evergreen. Every tier has its own badge. Reach Canopy
and the Verified Contributor mark shows up next to your name.
Thorough reviews earn more than bare ones. Your level is
recognition only and does not affect scores or rankings.
Some bug fixes:
No more businesses from the wrong city while your location loads.
Tapping the tab you are already on goes back one step instead of
jumping Home.
The Leaf Level sheet closes again.
Bigger tap area on the search field.
Terms and Privacy open the real pages.
Softer dark mode text, lighter dividers.
No flash of the app before the login screen when you open it signed
out.
Slow requests retry instead of hanging.
