Robota is a private-by-design meeting recorder that lives in your menu bar. It captures audio, transcribes everything on-device using Apple's built-in speech recognition, and optionally summarizes your notes with a local AI model. Nothing is ever uploaded - your conversations stay on your Mac.

The pill reacts to what's happening
- The floating pill now has a short motion for each of the four moments that matter. The face moves first and the capsule follows just after.
- Meeting detected: The face perks up, looks out at the screen and bounces twice. The capsule leans after it, and the "Meeting detected" prompt slides out from behind the pill.
- Start recording: The face hops. When it lands it turns red, the capsule grows to the recording size, and the status, timer and wave drop into place.
= Snapshot: A hard blink works as the shutter, with a white flash in the pill and a wink after it. The snapshot card is tossed out of the face to its spot beside the pill, then goes away after about 2 seconds.
- Stop & save: The face melts and the capsule settles to its smaller size. While Robota polishes the transcript, a lime fill rises behind the percent in step with the real progress. At the end it drains, the capsule jiggles and the face smiles.
If the pill is docked on the left, motions that face the screen are mirrored. With Reduce Motion turned on, none of this plays: the pill changes state at once, and the prompt and card simply appear.
