Mahjong Academy is a focused learning and practice app for beginners and players who want to make faster, more confident decisions. Short lessons, instant feedback, and interactive drills help you understand your hand instead of relying on memorized answers.
8 GUIDED LESSONS
Start with tile recognition, melds and pairs, incomplete shapes, improvements, calls, basic winning structures, common waits, and tile efficiency. Each lesson includes examples and a short knowledge check.
WAIT PRACTICE
Choose a discard from a 14-tile hand and immediately see whether the hand is in tenpai, which tiles complete it, and how many copies remain available.
30 TILE-EFFICIENCY DRILLS
Work through focused problems covering five-block choices, overlapping acceptance, compound shapes, headless structures, multiple pairs, one-shanten decisions, and equally efficient discards.
Each answer compares:
• Shanten after the discard
• Types of improving tiles
• Total remaining effective tiles
• Tied best choices when more than one answer is valid
SIMULATED HAND PRACTICE
Draw and discard through a single-player practice hand. Preview a possible line, confirm your discard, stay in tenpai, and adapt as the hand changes.
