Vocab review, rebuilt: tap a card to flip it, swipe to answer, and hear exactly the sentence you saved a word from. Words you forget come back a few cards later in the same session. The player shows more of the script on small phones, and long sentences are no longer cut off. A cleaner Vocab page, clearer trial details on the subscribe screen, and other fixes.

Episodes you've played show up in Spotlight. - Review your words: flashcards in the sentence you heard them, with the episode's own audio. - A smarter player: precise scrubbing, time left at your speed, picks up a sentence back after a pause. Your account, progress, downloads and settings carry over.

Previously loaded screens and transcripts remain available offline. Recent episodes can be cached automatically over Wi-Fi, alongside your saved downloads. Fixed a reminder setup issue when notification permission was already enabled in iOS Settings.

Subscriptions are recognised more reliably: a subscription bought before you signed in now moves to your account automatically, and Restore Purchases finds it too. The player highlights each word as it is spoken, so you can follow along in the transcript. New listeners go straight into a guided Starter episode, and Easier stays at your level instead of dropping a step too far. Reminders are offered at a more useful moment, in a plainer dialog.

The app no longer starts playing by itself when you open it. Starring a word in the player's Vocab tab now sticks, and the star matches the transcript and your Vocabulary list. Easier and Harder load the right versions when the next story starts while the player is open. Clearer instructions in the placement quiz.

Listening reminders — get a nudge when it's time for your daily Chinese, and turn them off any time in Settings. The Home hero now plays what you're looking at. Tap any cover to start that channel, and tap again to pause. Two new levels below Beginner, so the first episode isn't a wall. Downloads are easier to reach when you're offline, and the app opens properly on a bad connection. Daily goal is back to 5 minutes.
