YOUR AIRPORT, CLEARLY
Read wind and gusts, visibility, ceiling, temperature, altimeter, and density altitude in focused weather instruments. Check observation age, explore the original report, and switch between local and UTC time.
YOUR LIMITS, EXPLAINED
Set your ceiling, visibility, wind, gust, and crosswind limits, plus flight categories you do not accept. Guided setup offers editable starting points. Review GO, NO-GO, or INCOMPLETE with the reasons behind the result. Missing, invalid, or stale required information cannot establish a passing check; a known exceeded limit can still produce NO-GO.
WIND FOR EACH RUNWAY END
Open Runways to compare sustained and gust crosswind components, plus headwind or tailwind, wherever usable published runway data is available. See the best alignment for the reported sustained wind. This does not identify the active runway or account for closures, length, or surface conditions.
KNOW WHAT SUPPORTS THE BRIEFING
Runway geometry and field elevation update from FAA publications independently of app releases. Weather observations and forecasts come from the National Weather Service Aviation Weather Center. Expand Data Sources at the bottom of a briefing for source dates, weather age, and update status. Unavailable values are identified rather than replaced with invented readings.
COMPARE YOUR AIRPORTS
Save favorites with wind, visibility, ceiling, and report age together. Search by airport code, name, or city. Browse U.S. reporting stations on the map and filter by flight category or your personal minimums. Optional location access helps you find nearby reports.
LOOK AHEAD
Explore decoded TAF periods and alternate forecast conditions with clear validity times. Return to the original forecast when you want the detail. Forecast availability depends on the reporting station.
MAKE IT YOURS
Choose light or dark appearance, use larger text, review your limits in Settings, and share a weather summary through the iOS share sheet. No Minimums account is required.
