Choose Limit Opening, Fixed End Space, On Center, or Best Fit, pick where your marks are measured from, and CutOnce gives you the running mark for every baluster on the card, on the tape, and in the stair PDF. • New Spacing calculator. Lay out pickets, shelf pins, holes, or anything else evenly along a run, and read cumulative tape marks from the leading edge, center, or trailing edge, with true horizontal clear space on sloped runs. Deck railings can now share one common on center across sections. • Safer stairwell openings and a fuller code check. The minimum stairwell opening now allows for the full tread run and the upper finished floor, and the stair report now checks guard openings, nosing, the 6 inch triangle, and headroom. • New Box and Frame Miter calculator. Building a box, planter, or sloped frame with any number of sides? Enter the sides and the tilt and CutOnce works out the saw table miter and blade tilt for every cut, and warns you when a tilt is past what your saw can do. • Clearer, more accurate hip and valley PDFs. We tightened the jack schedule, plate and datum marks, note rounding, and rafter length wording, and rebuilt the optimized cut map into a clean Qty, Size, Length, and Pieces table. • Birdsmouth warnings on your cut plans. Rafter and hip and valley cut plans now print a graded warning when a birdsmouth cut runs too deep for the rafter, so you catch it before the cut. • Better wall stud lumber lists. The wall stud PDF now calls out the pressure treated bottom plate as its own item instead of pairing it with untreated stock, so the purchase list is one you can actually buy and build. • More in Spanish. Masonry mortar product names and more PDF labels and notes are now available in Spanish. • Smoother purchases and setup. A dedicated Trig mode handles sin, cos, and tan plus their inverses, with degree or degrees-minutes-seconds entry, and your work prints to the tape and PDF like every other calculator. • Rake wall PDF. Export a rake wall as a dimensioned elevation with a full, paginated stud schedule you can hand to the crew or the yard. • Clearer rake wall angles. Cards, tape, and PDF now spell out which angle is the pitch off square and which is the bevel from the stud's edge, and any value that had to be rounded is marked so you know when to trust the exact number. • More accurate rafters. Ridge height now includes height above plate, ridge boards are sized from the real plumb-cut depth, board layout edges are corrected, and the lumber PDF now shows the length, spacing, and rafter-count assumptions behind the list. • Cleaner keypad labels. Separator keys now read ft-in and a/b across every calculator, matching the main keypad. • Your work is saved. If your phone closes the app to free up memory, CutOnce now brings back your inputs and results right where you left them.

When a staircase is too tall to build as a single flight under code, CutOnce now flags it and shows how to split it into flights with an intermediate landing, instead of printing a plan you can't build. • Diagram and PDF fixes. Cleaned up overlapping labels on hip roof jack headers and on flush-mount deck stair callouts.

A new compliance panel grades riser height, tread depth, stringer throat, and total rise against IRC R311.7 limits, with headroom, riser variance, and comfort guidance alongside. The new Code Values section in Settings lets you review and override every code limit the app uses, in fractions, decimals, or metric, with a clear badge on anything you've changed and a one-tap reset per value. • Pick your riser count. Tap any compliant riser option in the results, or flip the new Comfort / Riser-limited toggle to solve with the fewest code-legal risers. • Flush (deck) mount done right. Stair plans now label which mount they assume, draw flush stringers with the correct layout and edge lengths, size the lumber purchase length from the actual cut, and spell out bearing and connector hardware. • Sharper stair numbers everywhere. Every printed dimension now rounds exactly once, at your fraction setting, so the screen, tape, and PDF always agree; metric code checks compare exact values; and the stairwell opening accounts for floor assembly thickness and nosing. • Keep the screen on while you calculate. A new setting, on by default, holds the display awake on any calculator screen so your phone won't dim mid-measurement while your hands are full. Turn it off anytime in Settings; battery saver and Low Power Mode still take over as usual. • Cleaner hip roof PDFs. Jack labels and the roof width dimension no longer overlap on exported plans.

Tape and PDF strings wrap instead of clipping at the page edge, help tips scroll when they're long, and the new calculators surface any missing inputs before you cut. • New drywall sheet size. The Drywall calculator now includes the 4 x 9 ft US standard sheet, alongside 4 x 8, 4 x 10, 4 x 12, and 4 x 14. • Clearer live diagrams everywhere. Labels no longer overlap, the figure fills the full width of the card, and each calculator now shows a branded illustration before you start typing. On phones the diagrams are right-sized so nothing clips. • Roofing upgrades. Pitch now sits at the top of both Dimensions and Area modes, and on iPad you can pop the roof-plan diagram out into a larger sheet. • Reordered Toolbox. Calculators are grouped high-value-first, so the tools you reach for most are up top. • Sharper roof PDFs. Hip and Valley plans keep every angle label clear of the drawing, and the View PDF button appears only when your plan is ready to export.

The Area/Volume calculator and the Right Angle solver now draw your shape as you type: rectangle, circle, cylinder, and right triangle, with the calculated area or volume shown right inside the figure. On iPad they fill the space beside the keypad. • Decluttered Calculator keypad. The look-alike separators now read "ft-in" and "a/b", one smart Clear key shows AC or C as needed, and the memory keys tuck behind an "fx" toggle so the everyday pad stays clean. • Faster start. A new "What are you building?" step drops you straight into Stairs or Rafters with a worked example instead of a blank screen. • Tap the values you know. On the Right Angle solver, tap any two cards to enter what you know and CutOnce solves the rest. • Cleaner results, fewer interruptions. Empty rafter cards stay hidden until they have a number.
