Shikaku Twist: The Rectangle Logic Puzzle with Extra Clues 6×6 · 10×10 · 12×12 · 20×20 · 30×30 and 5 clue types Shikaku Twist is a logic puzzle based on Shikaku, the classic Japanese grid puzzle also known as Rectangles or Divide by Box. If you love Shikaku puzzles and want to put your spatial reasoning to the test, Shikaku Twist is the rectangle puzzle for you. Your goal: Divide the grid into rectangles and squares so that each of them contains exactly one numbered clue matching its area. The twist: Each clue also tells you what kind of rectangle to draw: Square, wide, tall, free, or any. How to Play Shikaku Twist: 1. Every clue has a number. It tells you how many cells your rectangle must cover. 2. Drag across the grid to draw a rectangle. To undo one, tap it. 3. Tile the entire grid so that every cell belongs to exactly one rectangle. No empty cells, no overlapping. Recent Update is Awful UX

I’ve been playing this game for a year or so and always enjoyed it. But this recent update has made it so much harder to understand the board. The symbols are much less clear about what they mean. And having the boxes be outlines instead of filled in is much harder to see what space is open on the board. Might have to find an alternate app for this style of game.

Hard to draw boxes

I play all games from Simon everyday, they’re awesome, but Patches has a sensitivity issue while drawing boxes, especially when the board is zoomed out, that makes it nearly impossible to draw them the correct size on the first attempt. It is annoying and impact players aiming to be well ranked.

Hi, sorry the box drawing is fighting you when zoomed out, that sounds genuinely annoying 😖 On my test devices everything draws fine, so it might be something device-specific. Would you mind sending a short screen recording to hello.guriddo+patches@gmail.com? With your help I can hopefully narrow it down. And thank you for playing all my games every day, that means a lot!

Add temporary marker feature

Fun game, I would greatly appreciate if there was an option to add temporary/“note” boxes: like if you have a 7 and you know it must fill 5 certain boxes, you could make a temporary box of size 5 around the 7. Or just a pencil/color marker like in the other games would work too.

I can no longer change my username or profile picture (it says “Invalid JSON response” when I try) and I strongly dislike the new aesthetic. The game doesn’t even look like the app logo anymore. I wish there was at least an option to change back to the old font and colors.

- Update: Shikaku Twist has a new look. - Update: Some design & quality of life improvements and updates. - Problem solved: Logging out no longer signs you back into the same account. - Problem solved: Signing in only warns about lost progress when that is true.
