That's the whole reason this app exists. Every grocery app I tried would happily build me a list. None of them had any idea what was already sitting in my kitchen.
Cartplate keeps track. Plan your week and it builds the shopping list for you, minus whatever's already in the pantry. Cook a meal, mark it done, and those ingredients come back out on their own. Next week's list is right without you thinking about it.
THE GROCERY LIST
Autocomplete as you type, or pull from 150+ built-in staples. Items sort themselves by aisle so you stop zigzagging across the store. Tap Done Shopping and everything you bought moves into your pantry.
MEAL PLANNING
Drop recipes onto a weekly calendar. Change the servings and the ingredients scale with it. Turn the whole week into a grocery list in one tap.
YOUR PANTRY
See what's actually in the house. Tap What Can I Make and get recipes you can cook tonight without another trip out.
RECIPES
Add your own or import from a link. Cooking mode keeps the screen awake and walks you through the steps.
FOR HOUSEHOLDS
The Family plan puts one list in everyone's hands. Someone grabs the milk, it comes off your list too. Recipes and the meal plan sync as well. Only the person who sets it up pays.
WHAT'S FREE
The grocery list and pantry are free and don't need an account. Recipes and meal planning come with Pro.
SUBSCRIPTIONS
Pro is $2.99/month or $29.99/year.
Family is $4.99/month or $49.99/year and covers up to 6 people.
Your first month is free.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel yours in your Apple ID settings.

Your data stays on your device and syncs through your own iCloud account. I don't run servers, and I can't see any of it.
Setting up a family plan is much clearer now.
• If you don't have an invite code, you can start your own family right from the join screen instead of hitting a dead end.
• Buying Family now creates your household automatically — no second step.
• You can rename your household.
• The app now tells you your first month of Pro or Family is free.
• "What Can I Make?" no longer comes up empty with no explanation.
• Sign-in problems now show an actual message instead of quietly doing nothing.
• You can now manage or cancel your subscription right from the app.
