• Follow-up reminders. After you send a quote, Dowel can nudge you 1, 3 and 7 days later, until the job is booked or lost. • Trade and ZIP are now on the new estimate form. The starting labor rate follows the job's ZIP. • Every estimate shows its range, and tells you when your edits take the total below it.

New app icon. Nothing else changed in this update.

What's new in 1.1.3 • Handyman, Landscaper and Flooring are now trades of their own, each with its own rates. • The sample quote ends on the finished PDF and hands you straight into your first real estimate. • The opening screen now names what the button makes for you instead of asking you to watch. • If the subscription screen ever came up blank, it now fills itself in instead of sitting dead. • Settings says what happens to your estimates when a subscription ends, and what stays yours. • Saving templates was never a paid feature. The app no longer suggests it is. • A saved template keeps your line items in the order you wrote them. • Exporting your data now tells you when it did not work. • A share that failed no longer looks like you changed your mind. • Quotes still stamped PREVIEW get one reminder before a client sees them.

What's new in 1.1.2 • Photos you add to an estimate now show up on the PDF. • Dowel remembers prices you change. Next time it's one tap to use your price. • Your job description prints on the PDF as the Scope of Work. • Your markup stays private. The client PDF builds it into the material prices instead of listing it as its own line, and the total is the same to the cent. • PDF totals add up to the cent and long lines wrap. • Markup shows with its decimals in the app — 17.5% reads as 17.5%, not 17%. • Say your labor rate in the job description and every labor line uses it. • Leave mid-estimate and your draft is still there when you come back. • No signal? Start a blank estimate and fill it in yourself. • New here? One tap on + gets you straight to your first estimate. • Templates open when you tap anywhere on the row. • Restore Purchases now tells you when there's nothing to restore. • Delete All Data now clears drafts and saved files too.

After you look at the sample estimate, Dowel now walks you straight into pricing your own job. Also fixed: a blank screen that could appear right after generating a new estimate, and a Try Again button that did nothing when plans failed to load.

Same app, new name. Dowel is the estimating tool you already use. Every estimate, job, template, and setting is exactly where you left it, and your subscription carries over untouched. Only the name on your home screen has changed. Everything else works the same way it did yesterday.
