1.9.17 Jul 14
Improved Daily Reminder reliability, including better reminder refresh behavior for recurring expenses and when returning to the app.

Fixed Google Drive backup error on iOS and Android. Backup now handles Drive permission checks correctly without breaking Android sign-in.
1.8.27 Jun 16
Fixed Google Drive backup on iOS where some users saw a 403 authentication error after signing in. Backup now verifies Drive permission before uploading.
1.8.26 Jun 15
Fixed theme persistence when switching books. The app now keeps your chosen accent color, wallpaper, blur, and brightness settings globally instead of accidentally picking up stale/default theme data from another book.
Custom wallpaper backup/restore is now more reliable. Custom wallpaper images are saved into the app metadata backup so they can be restored properly across devices.
Improved shared-book safety documentation and internal sync rules around owner delete and collaborator orphan cleanup.
1.8.20 May 18
This update improves shared book deletion and cleanup. Owners can delete shared books more reliably, collaborators can remove shared books from their device, and Hiyo now better detects stale shared books when the original shared Drive source is gone.

- Added in-app collaborator management for shared books.
- Book owners can add and remove Google Drive collaborators directly from Hiyo.

Improved:
- Collaborator phones now show owner-only Backup & Restore messaging immediately instead of waiting on a slow Drive ownership check.
- The Collaborators section stays stable while owner access is being checked.
- Manual Google Drive sharing instructions remain available as a fallback.
Fixed:
- Fixed a case where collaborator-side Book Settings could appear stuck checking ownership until the user left and returned.
- Added timeouts around Google Drive auth/permission calls so failures surface instead of looking like a hang.

1.7.42 May 1
This update improves receipt handling, transaction lists, and shared-book sync reliability.
What’s new:
• Receipt cropping is smoother on iOS, with a dedicated crop screen that respects safe areas.
• Cancelling receipt crop now correctly abandons the attachment instead of saving the uncropped image.
• Transaction notes are now collapsible in list views, keeping transaction history cleaner and easier to scan.
• Shared books now resolve the latest Google Drive copy before syncing, reducing stale-data conflicts.
• Added stronger safeguards so shared-book uploads do not overwrite newer changes from another device.
• Improved ownership recovery for older shared books where backup controls could appear disabled incorrectly.
Also includes smaller polish and stability fixes.
1.7.35 Apr 29
Fixed shared-book sync for collaborators.
Non-owner devices now resolve the current shared Google Drive master file before merging changes, preventing stale cached Drive file IDs from causing missing transactions or mismatched totals between owner and collaborator devices.
1.7.32 Apr 28
• Backup keeps the dialog open and shows live progress instead of closing and leaving you wondering.
• New pre-flight checks catch problems before they waste your time: no internet, Google Drive full, expired sign-in, or wrong account — each shows a clear message in seconds.
• Backups can no longer hang silently. Every step has a time limit.
• If you're using a shared book on multiple devices with different Google accounts, the right device now backs up to the right place automatically. No more manual "re-verify" step.
• Various reliability fixes for shared book sync.
1.7.29 Apr 26
New: Attach photos to any transaction.
Snap receipts with the camera or pick from your gallery — up to 4 per transaction. They sync to your shared books and are viewable on every device.
Also in this release:
• Fixed sync bounce-back: deletes and edits no longer resurrect after the other device syncs.
• Owner-only image cleanup — no more 403 errors for collaborators.
• Self-healing ownership for legacy shared-book metadata.
1.7.19 Apr 23
• Clearer Google Drive sign-in — we now explain what to expect on Google's
consent screen before you're redirected, so the "unverified app" warning
no longer catches you by surprise.
• Redeem Code on the Paywall — iOS users can now redeem App Store promo
codes directly from the upgrade screen.

1.6.24 Apr 17
What's New in 1.3.23
• More reliable sync for Shared Books. Pull to refresh now syncs both ways. When you pull down on a Shared Book, your latest transactions are uploaded to Google Drive first, then the newest changes from other devices are merged in — all in one gesture. Previously, pulling only downloaded changes, so a transaction you just added might not reach your other devices right away.
• Clearer sync feedback. After you pull, a confirmation lets you know exactly what happened: "Your changes uploaded · Synced from Drive" when you had pending edits, or "Synced from Drive" when there was nothing new to upload.
• Upload errors are no longer silent. If the upload can't complete (for example, no connection), you'll see an actionable message so you know to try again — instead of the app quietly falling out of sync.
• Smaller polish: pie chart toggle between % and $, improved category filter, auto-hide search while scrolling.
1.3.23 Apr 14
