Dark interactive fiction. 19 chapters. More than One endings. Every choice has a cost.
A dark fantasy RPG where every choice carries weight.
Twenty years ago, the city of Kurk fell to corruption. The Seal cracked. Thousands fled. Now an expedition returns — and you are on it. Not because you are brave. Because your brother is sick, your mother has stopped speaking, and the hazard pay is the only option left.
Kurk: Dark Fantasy Story is a gothic interactive fiction game for adults who want more from mobile. If you loved 80 Days but wanted something darker, if you finished Sorcery! and wished the prose were more literary, if you tried Choices or Episode and felt insulted by the writing — this is for you.
WHAT MAKES KURK DIFFERENT
Every choice has a cost. A decision you make in Chapter 1 changes what a character says to you in Chapter 10. There are no moral labels, no obvious right answers, and no way to save everyone. The story tracks 240 continuity flags across 19 chapters to make your version of the narrative genuinely unique.
Silence is a mechanic. Sometimes the most powerful choice is the one you do not make. Characters notice what you say — and what you choose not to.
The writing is literary. Gothic prose inspired by Ishiguro, Le Guin, and VanderMeer. 26 characters with their own motivations, secrets, and costs. A dark neogothic city that feels alive — and wrong. This is not generic fantasy. There are no elves, no dragons, no clear heroes.
Three endings, none clean. Sacrifice, loyalty, or survival. Each ending is a different answer to the question: what do you do with what you have inherited?

Five full chapters. No account required. No time limit. No strings. Read the opening, make your first choices, meet the expedition, survive the crossing, and arrive at the harbour of a city that should not exist.
If the writing earns your trust, the story continues with Acts 2-4 — available individually or as a Season Pass.
THE STORY
You are eighteen. Kurkian by blood, but you have never seen the city. You grew up in the refugee quarter of Kamizawa — a shared room above a laundry, a mother whose mind is leaving, a younger brother who asks you to come home.
The posting on the harbour wall offers hazard compensation for a return expedition. You sign because there is no other option.
What you find in Kurk is not what you expected. The corruption is not mindless destruction — it is architecture. The creatures that walk the empty streets were people once. The Seal that holds the city together is cracking. And the expedition's commander knows more than she admits.
Every chapter pulls you deeper. Every choice costs something. Every silence has a consequence.
