Huduko is a fully on-device semantic search engine for your Mac. It reads the content of every file and photo so you can find them by what you remember, not just what you named them. SEARCH BY MEANING, NOT FILENAMES Type "the chart Karen sent me about Q2 numbers" and Huduko surfaces the spreadsheet — even if the filename is temp_3.xlsx. Type "retriever in snow" and the dog photo appears, even if you never tagged it. Huduko understands what's inside every file: PDFs, Word docs, spreadsheets, PowerPoint decks, plain text, code, and images. For photos, it understands visual content — landscapes, animals, meals, screenshots, whiteboards, anything you'd describe. EVERYTHING STAYS ON YOUR MAC The AI models, the index, and every byte of your data live on your machine. Nothing is uploaded. No cloud, no accounts, no servers. Huduko works entirely offline once installed. WHAT IT INDEXES • Documents: PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, plain text, code, Markdown, JSON • Images: every common format (JPG, PNG, HEIC, RAW, etc.) • Apple Photos: your full Photos library, indexed by visual content • Folders you choose — never files you didn't ask Huduko to look at WHEN HUDUKO SHINES • You scanned a receipt months ago and need to find it now • You have hundreds of PDFs and Spotlight just gives you filename matches • You took a photo of a whiteboard and want to find it again • You remember a sentence from a doc — or a slide from a deck — but not which file • You want photos of your kid at the beach without scrolling 10,000 thumbnails POWERED BY ON-DEVICE AI Huduko uses two state-of-the-art models running entirely on your Mac's GPU: a 1024-dimensional text embedder for documents and CLIP for visual image understanding. On Apple Silicon, both run via MLX on the Metal GPU — no GPU rental, no API limits, no rate caps. First launch downloads ~1.5 GB of AI models. After that, Huduko works entirely offline. PRIVACY Huduko collects anonymous performance and reliability telemetry by default — search latency, indexing throughput, error counts. No file paths, no document content, no user identity. About 2 GB of free disk space for AI models + index.
