What's new in 1.4.0 • Safer data: if your shop's data can't be opened, StockEasy now stops and offers ways out — restore the pre-update copy, send the data files, or start an empty shop — instead of carrying on with nothing saved. • Backups now include your tax, currency and membership settings, and a restore works out whether the backup or this device is newer. • Orders paid with a Stored Value Card can be refunded back onto the card. • Stock counts stay correct when you make sales while counting, and fractional quantities add up correctly. • Amounts with cents always show both digits — $16.40, not $16.4 — on screen and on receipts. • Much faster searching in products, sales and purchases. • PINs are harder to get around, and "Forgot the owner PIN?" now works on a personal device too, not only on a shared register. • Reminders about money customers owe no longer show names or amounts on the lock screen, and while StockEasy is open, low-stock alerts go quietly to Notification Center instead of popping up over the register. • Optimized for iPhone Duo: on the inner display, a list and the item you open sit side by side, columns line up with the fold, and the register shows products and the cart on separate halves.

A big update: a cleaner layout everywhere, Multi-Store you can buy on its own, and staff PINs for a till the whole shop shares. A cleaner layout • Every screen has a smaller title, so the content starts near the top; Home no longer opens on an empty band. • Cards, spacing and section headers follow one style, and checkout on POS and New Sale stays pinned to the bottom of the screen. • On iPad, Home, detail and report screens use two columns, and settings screens are centred instead of stretching across the display. Multi-Store • Multi-Store now has its own screen, with its price and a Buy button: More → Multi-Store → See Multi-Store (or +). Once it is bought, you go straight to adding your next shop. • It is a one-time purchase, sold separately from Pro. Each shop keeps its own sales, stock, income and expenses; products, customers and suppliers stay shared. • Restore Purchases on that screen tells you whether Multi-Store itself was restored. Staff PINs on a shared register • Turn it on in More → Settings → Team Management → Shared Register Device. It stays off unless you turn it on, and turning it on takes the owner PIN. • Each person taps their name on "Who's working?" and enters their PIN. Owner, Manager and Staff each see only what their role allows. • The register logs out after 2 minutes away from StockEasy or 5 minutes with no activity (both adjustable), when someone taps Switch Staff at the top of any tab, and, if you choose, after each sale. • PINs stay in this device's Keychain. They are not in backup files, and they do not move to another device. • Every sale, purchase, stock change, payment and expense records who made it. Owner recovery code • Setting the owner PIN gives you a recovery code, shown only once. Write it down: it resets a forgotten owner PIN, and gets you back in if the shop moves to a new iPad, where PINs do not come along. Currency symbol • The currency symbol set in Shop Info (for example A$) now appears on every amount, receipt and PDF. Left empty, it follows your device's region as before. Free-plan limits • Importing a CSV with more new products than the free plan has room for no longer fails with an error: upgrade to Pro and import them all, or import the ones that fit. • When the free team is full, adding a member offers Pro instead of an error. You now have a row of your own in Team and are not counted: the free plan still allows one person besides you. Roles on this device • A device handed to Manager or Staff can always be handed back: tap the role at the top of any tab. Handing it over first takes an owner PIN, and only the Owner can set one. • Staff no longer see profit, the stock's cost value or who owes what in Quick Query, and can't record purchases or stock changes by voice; the finance page is the Owner's alone. • The Pro page lists exactly what Pro unlocks, and says that Multi-Store is sold separately. Safer updates • Before an update changes how the shop's data is stored, StockEasy keeps a copy of it, and offers to put it back if the update cannot finish.

This release adds tax and multiple shops, and turns the export into a real spreadsheet. First, the important bit Everything you already have is exactly where you left it. This version changes how data is stored underneath; the upgrade handles it for you and nothing is lost. Tax • Set your own rates, as many as you need, with tax-free items marked separately • Choose whether your prices include tax or have it added at the register • Receipts and PDFs itemise the tax, with your registration number and the document heading your country expects • A new report shows what you collected, by rate, with returns already taken off • Starting points for Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Singapore, China, Japan, the United States and Canada — all of them editable • Discounts and points come off before tax is worked out, so the tax follows what the customer actually paid • Changing a rate later does not touch bills already issued: each one recorded what it charged at the time Multi-Store (a separate purchase, not part of Pro) • Each shop keeps its own sales, purchases, stock movements, stock-takes and books • Products, categories, customers, suppliers and member cards stay shared, so nothing is entered twice • Warehouses belong to a shop, so what a branch holds is its own warehouses • Already running two shops? Stock that was not yet on a warehouse is placed on the shelf of the shop that has been selling it — the oldest shop when both have — and the app tells you once; a transfer moves it if some belongs elsewhere • Switch from the home screen; the summary compares takings, profit and stock value across shops • With one shop, none of this appears and nothing changes for you Export • Excel (.xlsx) export, with barcodes, SKUs and order numbers kept as text — no leading zeroes lost, nothing turned into scientific notation • Amounts and quantities are real numbers, so a column can be totalled • CSV is still there Register and stock • Points can now be spent at the register, and come back proportionally on a return • The inventory report can be scoped to a warehouse; turnover and slow-moving stay shop-wide, and the screen says so • New App Lock: Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode, for a shop that leaves an iPad on the counter • The team screen has an "on shift" setting, so orders record who rang them up • A product can carry the names you actually use for it, so a search, a question or a spoken order finds it whichever name you reach for

REPORTS • New receivables and payables report: ageing breakdown, overdue totals, collection trend • New inventory overview: quantities and value by category, visible to staff too • Sales and purchase reports switch between product, category and customer • New top-debtors ranking, turnover rate and slow-moving list • A weekly summary and a 14-day trend chart on the home screen REGISTER AND MEMBERSHIP • The register opens from the sales screen, with its own button on iPad • Membership rules are yours to set: points rate, tier thresholds and discounts, top-up bonus • Customer level discounts apply automatically, and the register says where a discount came from • Stored-value cards work as a payment method • Split payments record how much came in by each method • A partial return refunds only what came back; the rest still counts as revenue and you can return more later • Return a discounted item and you get back what you took for it PURCHASING AND STOCK • Purchases accept a part payment and let you choose which warehouse receives them • Restock suggestions take a lead time, and you can ignore an item • Set your own expiry warning window (30 days by default); expired items are marked in red • Stock trend estimates over 7, 14 or 30 days CUSTOMERS AND SUPPLIERS • Archived instead of deleted, so balances and past orders stay intact and can be restored • Customers support custom fields and WeChat contact • Suppliers carry the categories they supply and a price-history chart BACKUP, IMPORT AND EXPORT • Backup is now free and covers everything, so switching phones keeps your transactions • CSV files exported from Windows or Excel now import, and there is a template to download • Data export is available to managers OTHER IMPROVEMENTS • Receipts support 80mm paper, the printer reconnects on its own, and Chinese prints correctly • Receipts and reports carry your shop logo and contact details; the monthly report has charts • An unrecognised barcode is carried into the new-product form, and a successful scan beeps • Low-stock, collection and expiry reminders follow your settings, and a collection notice names the customer • Camera and microphone permission prompts are localised • Faster product-list scrolling and report loading

This update focuses on accuracy, reliability, and a few quality-of-life fixes you asked for: • Tap any purchase order in Purchase History to see the full item breakdown — quantities, unit prices, and totals per line. • Barcode scanner now reliably detects EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-E, Code 128, Code 39, QR, Data Matrix, PDF417, Aztec, ITF and ITF-14 codes on all supported iPhones. • All prices, totals, and balances are now calculated with bank-grade decimal precision — no more 0.01 rounding surprises in receipts, reports, or member balances. • Sales checkout, returns, and purchase entry now save atomically: if any step fails, nothing is half-applied to your stock or ledger. • Login info is stored in the secure Keychain instead of plain preferences, and the app keeps running gracefully if the local database ever has trouble opening. • Receipt printer support for Chinese-default thermal printers (correct GBK encoding) is fixed — receipts no longer print as random characters on shops using stock Chinese printers. • Various smaller stability and performance fixes.
