You made questionable choices in the '90s. Winamp wasn't one of them.
Minamp is a native macOS media player that loads classic Winamp skins and plays your local music library. Built in Swift and AppKit. No Electron, no bloat.
• Pixel-perfect .wsz skin rendering at 1x, 2x, and 3x
• MilkDrop visualization for local audio, with a separate skinnable panel, fullscreen mode and importable presets
• 10-band EQ from 60 Hz to 16 kHz with built-in presets
• Real-time spectrum analyzer matched to your skin's color palette
• Spotify remote control — play, pause, skip from the Winamp UI
• M3U/PLS playlist support, or drag files from Finder
• Magnetic window snapping — main, EQ, playlist and visualizer dock together
No telemetry, no tracking, no accounts.

Mostly works
JoweEmm
It’s not reading my tags or sorting correctly in the playlist area. But it looks like Winamp. It generally acts like Winamp. The Jump To File function in the playlist would be great.

Thanks for the feedback. We're working on fixes for these this week (Oct 16th). Let us know if there's anything else you'd like to see
Modern Winamp?
Star lolzer
Great app, but will modern skins come? This would bring 3stars to 5stars!
Developer Response
If only I had _any_ talent for design. We're currently working on some tooling to make skin creation easier, so the incredibly talented artists out their can craft something my neanderthal hands cannot

Source function started to work by itself however, the current playlist is not loading. (Spotify)
Developer Response
Sorry to hear you're running into issues. Minamp can only operate as a remote control for Shopify and Apple Music -- are you not able to play, pause, change tracks?
A start, but lacking in some basics

Looks good out of the box, but it does not seem to obey basic UI rules in macOS. For instance, it’s permanently “on top”, and there is no way to change this.General playlists outside of Spotify and Apple don’t seem to work. Example: I loaded a playlist file (.pls) for DI.fm that I use in other players, but minamp refuses to play any of the channels. Not bad for a couple of dollars, but it’s got a ways to go.
Developer Response
Appreciate the feedback. For the permanently on top issue, can you try toggle "Always on top" in the view menu? That should resolve that issue. We don't currently support DI.fm playlists. We can certainly add it to the roadmap
Meet the Skin Shelf: one window for your skins and MilkDrop presets. Open it from the Minamp menu or with ⇧⌘K.
• Browse about 1,500 classic skins from the Winamp Skin Museum, previewed in the main window, equalizer, playlist and visualizer.
• Try a skin on the real player before you keep it: press Space to try it, Return to keep it, Esc to go back.
• Install a skin in one click, and remove the ones you no longer want.
• Browse MilkDrop presets in a grid or list with animated previews, see who made each one, and import your own.
• A simpler MilkDrop right-click menu. Shuffle and Lock Preset are now remembered between launches.
Fixes
• Skins installed from Settings now show their names in the Skins menu instead of a string of letters and numbers.
• Skins with complex window shapes now display their outline correctly.
• Several MilkDrop presets that could crash the visualizer now load safely.
Skins are courtesy of the Winamp Skin Museum and their original authors.
