Some things don't fit in a text. Send a quick video instead, and they'll watch it when they've got a sec. Yap is the warmest way to keep your people close.
Texting is easy, but it's flat. A call means finding a time you're both free. Yap is the in-between.
Record a little video whenever someone crosses your mind, and they'll watch it whenever they've got a moment. No scheduling. No pressure to be "on." Just your face, your voice, and the small stuff that actually keeps people close: the story from your walk, the thing that made you laugh, the "you won't believe this" you'd never bother to type.
Yap isn't a feed. No likes, no followers, no strangers, no algorithm deciding who you hear from. It's just you and the handful of people you actually want in your day, one-on-one or in small groups with your closest crew.
Made for real life:
• Tap, talk, send. A Yap takes seconds.
• They watch on their own time, so nobody has to be free at once
• Smart previews catch you up at a glance, so you always know who's Yapping about what
• Small groups that feel like being in the room together
• Save the Yaps worth holding onto, and keep your favorite people a tap away
Our phones made us reachable but somehow further apart. Yap is a small push back toward warmth, a way to stay in each other's lives without a call, a calendar, or a caption for the world.
Round up your people and start Yapping.
• Fixed audio drifting out of sync on some recordings
• React with any emoji — tap + in the reaction bar to open the full picker; your recent ones stay handy
• See where friends reacted on the scrub bar
• Marking chats read or unread is now instant and reliable, even offline
• Smoother and lighter all round
