I’ve been using this since the beta. It does three things really well: accurate transcription, speaker identification, and on-device AI summaries. All without sending anything to the cloud.I tested it with Urdu and was impressed by how well it handled them. The summary captures the main points of a recording in a few paragraphs — not perfect, but saves me a huge amount of time.The SRT export with speaker names and the ability to organize recordings into projects are impressive. It is a well-designed Mac app and recommended for those who transcribe regularly.

I was able to record voice memo of conversation with three other people on my phone and send it to my Mac. Dragged and dropped the file into Vox Dictum. Named the unique users once and all interactions were credited to the correct person. So very helpful when doing dictation of meetings.

Summaries now respect script fidelity — no more mixed-script output. Variable Playback Speed - Adjust playback from 0.75× to 2.0× in both the main player and overlap resolution panel for forensic listening or fast review. Intelligent Memory Management - Redesigned model lifecycle eliminates unnecessary reloads. On 16 GB+ Macs, both transcription and summarisation models stay resident for instant response. On 8 GB Macs, models swap efficiently with minimal overhead. Summary Priority Queue - Summaries now execute between transcription jobs rather than waiting for the entire batch to complete. Podcast Reliability - Downloaded media and artwork persist between sessions — no more repeated downloads or timeout errors. Export Improvements - Summary exports now include styled HTML with dark mode support and proper right-to-left text rendering. Bug Fixes and Performance - General stability improvements, fixes for job cancellation, improved search performance, and corrected audio routing for all model sizes.
