Cycling Fitness & Progress

Cycling, made fun again. RideIQ measures you against your own history - not FTP or population averages - so every ride, report, and leaderboard is about your progress. Are you getting fitter? It's a harder question than it should be. We've been taught that fitness is one number: FTP, VO2 max, max heart rate. But each comes from a single test on a single day, and after years of riding those numbers barely move. You can still be climbing better, holding power longer and recovering faster without seeing it. One test measures a day. Hundreds of rides measure you. RideIQ turns your Strava rides into a personal performance coach. Instead of comparing you with averages or other riders, it finds meaningful changes in your own riding. You versus you. THE RIDEIQ SCORE Every ride gets a score from 0 to 100, ranked against your own riding: 0 is your easiest ride of the year, 100 your hardest, and your median ride lands on 50. It's built from: - Intensity: how hard you rode - Load: how much you rode (time in the saddle, plus climbing) Power, heart rate and GPS are blended, each judged against its own history, so a new power meter or a day without your strap won't skew your score. No power meter? Heart rate and GPS are full signals, not a fallback. SEE YOUR FITNESS DIRECTION - RideIQ Fitness Report: updated after every ride, tracking aerobic fitness, efficiency, climbing, consistency, durability and rider type - the progress that's easy to miss when FTP stands still. - Monthly edition: on the 1st of each month, a clear verdict on how your fitness moved, with month totals, personal bests and your rider profile. Export it as a card for your coach, club or feed. - RideIQ Trend: the real shape of your riding, month to month. - Rest recommendations, so you know when to push and when to recover. GO DEEPER - Full ride metrics and charts: power, heart rate, cadence, elevation, gradient and more. - Advanced analysis: efficiency curves and aerobic decoupling. - Performance Profile: more power for the same heart rate, or the same speed for less effort, versus your 90-day baseline. - Compare any ride against another, or against your baseline, to see exactly what changed. RELIVE EVERY RIDE - 3D Replay: watch any ride in 3D at any speed, with RideIQ Director choosing the camera angles as the ride unfolds. Export a cinematic 30 or 60-second clip with music. - RideIQ Memory: an automatic ride journal that captures the performance and story behind every ride. Share any entry as a card. RIDE WITH YOUR CREW - RideIQ Club: the strongest rider doesn't always win. Leaderboards rank everyone against their own history, so riders of any age or ability compete on equal terms. DIAL IN YOUR SETUP - RideIQ Lab: test wheels, tires, clothing or position on real roads with your own rides. Run A/B and long-term comparisons, see what each change is worth in watts, and export the results. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your ride data stays on your device and syncs through your own iCloud. Insights and reports are generated on-device. No ride data is sold or shared. BUILT FOR EVERYONE Available in 17 languages, with full accessibility and Larger Text support. GETTING STARTED RideIQ connects to your Strava account and starts scoring after just 13 rides. New here? Try Demo Mode with sample rides - no Strava account required. RideIQ 2.3 A rebuilt RideIQ Score, plus a long list of fixes so every ride gets scored. THE NEW RIDEIQ SCORE Your score is now ranked against your own riding over the past year: 0 is your easiest ride, 100 your hardest. - Power, heart rate and GPS are blended instead of trusting whichever sensor you wore. Each signal is judged against its own history, so switching bikes, skipping the heart-rate strap or adding a new power meter won't skew your scores. - Rides without a power meter are scored properly. GPS is now a full signal, not a fallback. - Volume is now called Load. Intensity and Load appear as bars with a tick at your median, so you can see at a glance where a ride sat. - When your sensors tell different stories, tap "Signals disagree" to see why, such as drafting in a group, or improving fitness producing more power at the same heart rate. - Just getting started? Scores now begin after 13 rides instead of 25, with a countdown. - The same ride scores identically on all your devices. Your past scores are recalculated once on first launch, so expect them to change. They now reflect your own riding. SCORES THAT ALWAYS APPEAR - Fixed scores that could stay on "Computation pending" indefinitely. - Rides that sync late, or arrive while the app is catching up, are picked up automatically. - A ride still being analysed shows a preliminary score that updates in place, instead of holding up later rides. - No single ride can delay the others for more than 48 hours. MORE ACCURATE RIDE DATA - Heart rate or power added in Strava after upload is now detected and used. - Rides with missing sensor data are re-fetched automatically, including rides already in the app. - Rides deleted in Strava are removed, and the deletion syncs across your devices. - Only a real power meter is used to judge effort, never Strava's estimated power. - Descents no longer inflate your score. A fast downhill is gravity, not effort. - Hard efforts are measured against you, not the ride, so an easy spin no longer claims high-intensity efforts. - Personal bests now name the sensor that set them ("New 20-min HR High"). - Ride Memory no longer calls a ride that set a 20-minute best a "lighter day". TRANSLATIONS Every language was reviewed and corrected, with missing text filled in and plurals fixed.
