TheVouch is a social network where every member is verified by government-issued ID. There are no bots. There are no fake accounts. There is no algorithm deciding what you see, no advertiser buying your attention, and no child who can pass the door.
EVERY MEMBER IS VERIFIED
Government-issued ID and a biometric face match. One person, one account, enforced at the infrastructure level rather than by policy. There are no second accounts, and someone removed from TheVouch cannot return under another identity, because what is verified is the person and not the account.
NOBODY CAN MESSAGE YOU WITHOUT PERMISSION
Every conversation begins with a Wave, a request for consent. You accept or you decline. Decline once and that person cannot send another unless you reverse it. Your inbox starts locked and only you hold the key.
NO ADS. NO ALGORITHM. NO DATA SOLD.
The money comes from members, so there is no reason to maximise screen time or auction your attention. Your feed is chronological: what the people you follow posted, in the order they posted it.
YOU CONTROL WHO KNOWS YOU EXIST
Spotlight, and you are fully visible. Exclusive, and your profile is visible but your posts are not. Incognito, and you are absent from search, from suggestions and from every discovery surface, reachable only through a link you send yourself.
ENCRYPTED MESSAGING
X25519 key exchange and AES-256-GCM encryption. Direct and group messages are readable only by the people in them. Not by us, and not as a promise but as mathematics.
BY DESIGN
- No comments. Public reply chains are where toxicity scales, so a response is a Wave instead: private, and between two real people.
- Text and photography. No autoplay video and no short-form loops.
- Photographs appear in black and white. The image supports the subject.
- Posts can be deleted but never edited. What you published is what people engaged with.
- One reaction. You appreciate something or you do not.
- A group conversation requires consent from every participant, individually.
- See exactly who viewed your profile. The whole list, not a preview.
- Mute a word or mute an account, both reversible, neither announced.
REAL NAMES AND REAL TITLES
Every display name is a real first and last name, verified before that person could post a word. A work title is assigned by the employer through a Business account rather than typed into a field. Companies pass a check of their own, with the registry, the officers and the beneficial owners confirmed before a page can open, and every company post carries the name of the verified human who wrote it.
CHANNELS AND WORK
Verified communities around an interest, a team or a topic. Companies publish vacancies and members apply from inside the app.
MEMBERSHIP
TheVouch is a membership. Identity verification and an auto-renewing subscription are both required to use the network: nothing here is advertised and nothing about you is sold, so the members fund it. A Business subscription can be added on top of a membership to open a company page. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, and a subscription renews automatically unless it is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel yours in your Apple Account settings at any time after purchase.
