New in 2.0: a script library, words-per-minute pacing, Follow Voice scrolling, a phone remote, a second-display output, Shortcuts support, and 10 languages.
GlassCue is a teleprompter for your Mac that stays out of your recordings. Turn on Hidden from Screen Capture and the prompter disappears from screenshots, screen recordings, and screen sharing, so you can read your script on the same Mac you present from while your audience sees only what you share.
LOOK AT THE CAMERA, NOT YOUR NOTES
• Set the reading line just under your webcam and keep eye contact while you speak
• Pace in words per minute, so a script runs the same length at any font size
• Smooth start and an optional 3-2-1 countdown
• Follow Voice scrolls along as you read aloud, using on-device speech recognition. Audio never leaves your Mac.
YOUR SCRIPTS, READY TO GO
• A script library that saves as you type and remembers each script's speed and target time
• Opens plain text, Markdown, Fountain, PDF, RTF, Word, and Final Draft files, or paste a script or drop a file on the window
• Sections from Markdown headings, screenplay scene headings, or ALL-CAPS lines, landing exactly on the reading line
• Bracketed notes such as [pause] or [smile] are styled as cues, so they stand out from the words you say
STAY IN CONTROL
• Elapsed and remaining time, with a warning when you run past your target
• Control playback from your phone over your local network, protected by a PIN and connected with a QR code
• Works with presenter clickers: Page Up and Page Down change sections, B plays or pauses
• Shortcuts and Siri actions for playback, sections, speed, and opening scripts
• Keyboard first: Space to play, arrow keys to change speed
MAKE IT YOURS
• 10 background colors with adjustable transparency and 9 text colors, with a warning for hard-to-read combinations
• Four font styles, adjustable size and line height, left or centered text
• A focus line in 8 colors with adjustable thickness and position
• A second-display output window for a monitor or teleprompter rig, with mirrored text for beam-splitter glass
• Always on top, so your script stays above other windows
Available in English, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, Português (Brasil), 日本語, 한국어, 简体中文, and 繁體中文.
