v1.6.6: the catch log now shows the conditions it records. - New catches show the bite score, 3h pressure change and air temperature they were caught in, plus water temperature where there is a gauge. - Conditions save on every catch now, not just photo-identified ones. Water temperature saves even with no signal. - Catches logged long after the fact no longer show current conditions as if they were from the moment you caught it. - Fixed: editing a catch no longer clears its saved weather.

v1.6.5: your catch log remembers the conditions. - NEW: every catch now saves the water temperature, bite score and 3-hour pressure change from the moment you caught it. It works with no signal, so a catch logged deep in a canyon keeps the same detail as one logged at the boat ramp. - Regulation screens name the agency the rules were checked against, and when. - Fixed: lakes no longer show a flow reading of 0 CFS. - Season rules keep their season type when you are offline. This update also brings iPhone up to date with v1.6.4, which shipped on Android only: - NEW: show or hide your password with a tap on the sign-in screen. - Fixed: the catch form could get stuck after being swiped away; closing it now always works. - Push notification setup retries automatically on weak connections. - Offline sync is steadier when the app returns to the foreground. - Corrected map attribution and coverage wording, plus a font problem that could close the app.

v1.6.3: regulations in Spanish, and sharper rules data. - Every site-specific regulation note now reads in Spanish when your phone is set to Spanish. All 1,189 per-water rule notes were translated and checked, and they appear on the regulation screens, in the legal-size checker, and to VoiceOver. English is always the fallback, so a note is never blank. Statewide default rules still read in English for now. - The Winnebago system sturgeon rule is now correct. The app carried a Wisconsin note that implied a September hook-and-line season. On Lake Winnebago and the Wolf River, hook-and-line fishing for lake sturgeon is closed all year: harvest is by spearing through the ice during the February season, by pre-season tag only, per WDNR. - More than 80 regulation rows corrected so that a limit says what it applies to. 20 rows showed a daily limit with no fish named and now name their species. 33 group rules now say plainly that the limit is shared, in the form "All trout species combined". 28 duplicate rows were merged into their species siblings, with their notes preserved. Fluke and brown trout rows that had been filed as group limits got their own species back. - A cold launch no longer claims you are offline while it is refreshing. Opening the app painted your saved scores and labelled them "Offline: scores from 2 hours ago" even on full signal, for the moment before fresh scores landed. That moment now reads "Updating scores…". The offline wording appears only when a refresh really does finish without reaching the network. - Sign-in storage failures are now recorded in diagnostics instead of passing silently, and the app's API keys moved to the current format. v1.6.2: your catch photos, kept safe and shown offline. Plus the right clock, and more rule fixes. - Your catch photos are now stored where iOS cannot silently delete them. They were being written to temporary storage that the system is free to clear when your phone runs low on space, and if you fish without an account, that copy was the only copy. Photos now live in durable, backed-up storage, and nothing is lost in the move. - A catch photo synced from another device now appears at the water, with no signal. The app keeps a local copy of every synced photo instead of asking the network each time, so your catch log shows your fish instead of a grey box in exactly the no-signal spot the app is built for. - Sun, solunar and tide times now show in the water's own clock. If you checked an Oregon river from New York, sunset read "11:31 PM": the right moment, on the wrong clock. Every water now uses its own local time, with a small note when that clock differs from your phone's. Times in your catch log stay on your clock, because you were there. - The offline banner no longer flashes on a normal launch. On a cold start the phone can report "no connection" for a fraction of a second while it wakes up, and the app believed it. A disconnect now has to persist before it is announced; a reconnect still shows instantly. - 117 regulation rows corrected across 56 waters, each checked at the issuing agency. The one that matters most: the Susquehanna River in Pennsylvania showed the statewide 4-bass daily limit, but the 98-mile Sunbury to Holtwood reach (where our pin sits) is catch and immediate release, all year, per PFBC. Also corrected: Letort Spring Run is fly fishing only; Indian River Lagoon and Mosquito Lagoon spotted seatrout are 2 per day with a Nov 1 to Dec 31 closure (FWC); Lake Winnebago walleye is 3 per day with no minimum and northern pike 2 per day at 26 inches (WDNR); Lake Vermilion walleye is 4 per day with a 20 to 26 inch protected slot (MN DNR); Saginaw Bay sturgeon fishing is closed, and the app now says so instead of showing a limit; the lower American River trout limit is 2 hatchery fish, not 5 (CDFW); Atlantic salmon on the Penobscot is correctly shown as no fishing, not a fall season; plus fixes on Tampa Bay, Wolf River, Salmon River, East Branch Delaware, Mille Lacs, Lake Winnibigoshish, Flaming Gorge, Lake Powell, Bear Lake and dozens more. v1.6.1: fixes that came from watching the app fail in the field. - A closed season no longer reads as an open one. Some waters stored the dates of a seasonal closure in the same place as an open season, so a card could show a spawning closure as if it were the window you could fish. Season lines now say what the dates actually mean: an open season, a harvest window on water that stays open year round for catch and release, or a closure. When a closure is in effect the card says "Closed now" instead of "In effect now." - The Directions button works on iOS 26 again. It was silently failing for real users (we watched it happen 19 times in our error reports), so it now falls back to opening the map inside the app when the system refuses the handoff. You always get your route. - Regulation cards stopped hiding the part that matters. A limit names its fish wherever the rule has one, and where it does not the card tells you to check which species it covers. Catch and release reads as catch and release rather than "Limit: 0." Notes that qualify or contradict a limit are shown rather than clipped. When a water has more rules than fit on the card, they are ranked by what can actually get you in trouble, and the card says how many there are. We also repaired the data behind 26 of those rules and removed 15 duplicate rows. - Two waters were pointing you at the wrong rulebook. Yellowstone Lake sits inside a national park and Pyramid Lake sits inside the Pyramid Lake Paiute Reservation, and neither is governed by the state it sits in. The app was sending you to the state agency, whose rules do not apply there and never mention the permit you actually need. Both now name the body that really regulates the water, and the state's default limits no longer sit underneath rules they cannot override. Two more, Flathead Lake and the Wind River, are only partly regulated by their state, and the app now warns you which stretches need a tribal permit instead. - Regulation notes read like sentences again. 329 of them were showing internal review shorthand, including raw database field names, in the middle of the text you rely on. They were rewritten as plain prose without changing a single rule. - Dark mode finally means the map too. The street map now matches your theme instead of blasting a light map above a dark app at night on the water. - Busy regions stay readable. Overlapping pins now group into a teal bubble with a count; tap it and the map zooms until the waters separate. Score pins are untouched once you are looking at a single lake. - The score screen no longer argues with itself. Pressure showed "Stable" in one card and "Falling" in another on the same screen, because two different calculations rendered the same air. One source now, the real 3-hour trend. - Spanish got a real pass: weather conditions ("Partly Cloudy" and friends) are translated, gear advice notes are in Spanish, size and season explanations are translated, and species rows show full names instead of first words ("Lake, White" is now "Lake Trout, White Perch" in any language). - Errors speak your language and offer Retry. Eleven places in the app used to show raw technical error text; all of them now say what happened, what to do, and let you try again with one tap. - Smaller things: the flow chip explains itself in plain language under the number, Explore's 50-state scroll became a single State menu, editing or deleting a catch has a visible button beside the title, your catch log leads with your fish instead of an upgrade prompt, the app honors your system Reduce Motion setting, and species surfaces show a fish rather than a paw print. - The legal disclaimer cannot be cut off anymore. v1.6.0: the app tells you what it knows, and admits what it doesn't. - NEW: your best fish, named. Pins and spot cards now call out the species that is actually biting when it beats the headline score by 10 or more: "Largemouth Bass 66" under a pin reading 45. Free, no Pro needed. - Waters with no calculated score show a grey dash instead of a number. The app used to invent a plausible score and colour the pin with it, so you could drive to a green 72 that had never been calculated. The legend now says what grey means: we do not know, not that fishing is bad. - Favorites sit at the top of the home list. - The score card reads in plain language. "Solunar" is now "Fish Activity" and says Peak, Active or Slow instead of a bare percentage. - The waterbody screen fits on a screen. Score, best times, forecast and tides stay open; species, gear, regulations, shops and launches sit behind a tap, and they remember whether you left them open. - Help is a panel you can scroll and tap away from, not a system alert. The score legend shows the real colours now instead of describing them. - Undo when you delete a catch, instead of an "are you sure" you tap through without reading. - Explore tells you what is filtering it and offers to clear it, and an empty result explains itself. - The Pro screen shows the price on the first screen, works out the annual saving from the prices you are actually shown, and says so plainly when the store cannot be reached instead of showing US prices to everyone. - Much more readable outdoors: the tab labels, the swipe-to-delete action, the Pro padlocks and the gear-restriction line all failed the contrast standard and now pass, measured, with tests that keep them passing. - No more database words on screen. A river in Florida read "river_tidal". Thirteen kinds of water and nine gear conditions have proper names now, in both languages. - The full regulations screen and the image credits screen were English only. They are not now, and season dates print with the right month names. Added after the first 1.6.0 build was cut: - The legal text is now Spanish too. Size limits, seasons, slot rules and the "not legal advice" notice were English for every user regardless of language, because those sentences were built in code rather than translated. A Spanish angler measuring a 14-inch bass saw a Spanish headline over an English explanation of whether they could keep it. Fixed, along with the fishing-licence summary for all 51 states. - Gear advice no longer states one state's rules as fact everywhere. The panel told a California angler "NY limit: 50 crabs/day" and gave a New York slot limit for striped bass on every water in the country. Twenty-three entries corrected, and both gear panels now carry the disclaimer. - VoiceOver can pick a home state and open the Terms and Privacy documents. It could not before: the picker collapsed into a single unreadable element, and the consent links were trapped inside their checkboxes. - Icons no longer leak into what VoiceOver reads. Rows announced a glyph, then their name, then another glyph. - The analytics charts survive large text sizes. - Bigger tap targets across the app, including the three map buttons, every filter chip, the favourite heart on each card and the catch form's Cancel. Get a push when barometric pressure starts dropping on one of your favorite spots, one of the most reliable feeding triggers there is.
