New: the Lab runs real experiments on your own days, so you find out what actually lifts your mood instead of guessing. Plus tappable vitals and a fuller forecast.
ActiveMind is not a step counter and it is not a meditation app. It is the answer to a smaller question: what should I do right now?
Tell it how you feel, or let it read your day from Apple Health, and it suggests something that actually fits. A short walk when you are flat. Something quiet when your body is carrying more than usual. Somewhere to go when the weather is good and you have an afternoon.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
Most apps show you correlations. "You feel better on days you go outside." That sounds useful until you notice the problem: you go outside on days you already feel good, so nobody can tell which way it runs.
ActiveMind is the app that chooses what to suggest, so it can do something about that. The Lab runs a real experiment on your own days. For three weeks it flips a coin each morning. On some days it leads with the thing being tested, on others it stays quiet. You live normally either way. At the end you get a straight answer about whether it moved anything, and because the days were picked at random, that answer means something.
It will also tell you when something did nothing for you. That is a real result, and it saves you months on the wrong thing.
WEATHER, AND WHAT IT DOES TO YOU
ActiveMind keeps a daily record of the sky next to how you felt, then tests which parts of it actually move you. Grey days, low pressure, short daylight, poor air. If a pattern turns out to be real for you, tomorrow's forecast starts taking it into account. If nothing shows up, it says so.
YOUR BODY, READABLE
Heart rate, resting heart rate, HRV, breathing rate and wrist temperature, each with its bands drawn so a number lands somewhere, and history you can drag through. Wrist temperature is shown against your own recent nights, because the raw number only tells you about your bedroom.
EVERYTHING ELSE
670 things to do, filtered by how much energy you actually have
Places near you worth walking to, and day trips when you have longer
A forecast you can open: UV, humidity, wind, rain, pressure and conditions, hour by hour
Sleep sounds, breathing exercises, timers for the things you hold
A letter every Sunday, written from your own week
Mood check-ins that flow into Apple Health
PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
Every analysis in this app runs on your phone. Your moods, your health data and your check-ins are not uploaded, not sold, and not shared. There is no account to make.
ActiveMind is not a medical device and nothing in it is a diagnosis. For anything that worries you about your health, talk to a clinician.

Ratings & Reviews
This is the biggest update ActiveMind has had.
THE LAB
Pick one thing, and the app tests it on you properly for three weeks. It flips a coin each morning to decide whether to suggest it, then compares those days against the rest. Random assignment is what separates "this helped" from "you did it on the days you already felt fine". You get a straight answer, including when the answer is that nothing happened.
WEATHER x YOU
The app now keeps a daily record of the sky beside your mood and works out which parts of it actually affect you. Confirmed findings start shaping the next day's outlook.
TOMORROW
An evening card that reads your strain, your HRV and tomorrow's forecast, then tells you what the day is likely to be and picks one thing to do about it.
BODY SIGNALS YOU CAN OPEN
Heart rate, resting heart rate, HRV, breathing rate and wrist temperature each open into a full reading with bands and scrubbable history. They used to be coloured dots.
A FULLER FORECAST
Six weather readings instead of four, adding pressure and conditions, and every one opens into 24 hours you can drag through.
ALSO
New sleep sounds, recorded rather than synthesised
Every activity description rewritten in plain language
One card design across the whole app
Sunday letters rebuilt around your whole week, not just your journal
Home is faster to open, and you can finally mark something done from it
FIXED
Mood was not reaching several features that depended on it, so insights, recommendations and weekly reviews were all quieter than they should have been
Weekly reviews scored zero steps for any past week
Explore's Hidden Gems shelf could never show anything
