• New: translate your captions into another language, right on your iPhone. Show the translation alone or both languages together, and switch back to the original any time. Translation is part of Pro. • Faster start: pick a video and your captions begin on their own. Nothing else stands between you and your first export. • Captions are made on this iPhone. If speech access is off, HandCut tells you and takes you to Settings. • Fixes to caption editing, undo and language switching.

• New: Auto-Cut, on the editor's toolbar. It finds the long pauses and filler words like "um" and "you know" in your captioned video and cuts them out together. It replaces Clean Up in Transcript. • You stay in charge: see every cut in a list, switch any of them off, set how long a pause has to be, and play the result before you apply it. • One Undo puts everything back. • Free to try and preview, with the time saved shown up front. Exporting a video with Auto-Cut needs Pro. Every other export is unchanged.

3.1.14 • Clearer plans: the yearly plan shows its free trial and how much you save over monthly, and the monthly plan says plainly that it has no trial. • Larger text works everywhere on the upgrade screen: prices stay visible and plan names no longer cut off. • Restoring a purchase now closes any offer you no longer need. • A short, optional question about how you found Handcut. Skip it with one tap. • Accessibility and stability fixes across onboarding and export.

Buttons that did nothing now tell you why: select a clip, type a replacement, no speech gaps, look already applied, empty project name, subscription could not be opened, nothing to restore.

• Start faster: get to your first captioned video in a few taps. • Smoother editing: the timeline scrolls from anywhere, Split cuts the clip under the playhead, and Delete now has Undo. • Export is always one tap away, and finished videos save to Photos automatically once you allow it. • Captions stay in sync after transitions, Find and Replace matches whole words, and SRT files from other apps import cleanly. • Deleting a clip now takes its captions with it, so the rest stay in sync. • A cut now moves captions, audio, and stickers with the clip. • Your work is saved when you leave the app. • Clearer screens on iOS 26 and at large text sizes, with better VoiceOver labels. • Fixed a crash that could stop some color-graded videos from exporting.

Lumina is now Handcut. Same app, same team, same projects — new name and a new icon, because the app is no longer mainly a trimmer. Your existing projects, exports and purchases all carry over untouched. A rebuild, not an update. Handcut is now a native editor with its own render engine — the preview you scrub and the file you export are produced by the same code, so what you see is what ships. NEW • Word-by-word captions with real per-word timing, on-device • Picture-in-picture — free, two video tracks • Keyframe animation with five easing curves • Green-screen removal with an eyedropper that samples your own footage • Your own images as stickers • Move, scale and rotate any caption, emoji or sticker on the frame • Frame rate follows your footage, up to 60fps • Mirror clips horizontally or vertically FIXED • 60fps footage no longer exports at 30 • Captions and stickers are no longer stuck in the centre of the frame • Transitions no longer fail to export

We fixed a bug where filters, trim, speed, and brightness/contrast/saturation adjustments weren't applied to exported videos. Your edits now save exactly as you see them on screen. Thanks for reporting it!

Fixes the video editor's processing pipeline — filters (sepia, B&W, vivid, fade, dramatic, vintage, warm, cool), trim, speed change, and brightness/contrast/saturation adjustments now correctly transform exported videos. Improved error handling on import and export.
