A home baker's companion for sourdough. LoafLab helps you plan recipes, time your starter, schedule your bake around your day, and remember every loaf. No sign-up. Offline.
Recipes
Build formulas in grams and baker's percentages. Set flour and hydration, and LoafLab calculates water, salt, and starter. Scale to any number of loaves. Save as many recipes as you want.
Starter planner
Tell LoafLab your feeding ratio (1:1:1, 1:5:5, or whatever your starter likes), your kitchen temperature, and when you want to mix. It estimates when to feed so your starter peaks on time, with an optional reminder. Calibrated against real baker guidance.
Plan your bake
Pick a mix time or a finish time. LoafLab generates a schedule with autolyse, stretch and folds, bulk fermentation, shape, proof (room temp or cold retard), and covered plus uncovered bake. Customize any step and save your defaults.
Active bake
Tap Start and a checklist walks you through each step with timers and reminders. Adjust a step's time mid-bake if things run long. Check steps off as you go.
Journal
Log every bake with photos, a 1 to 5 star rating, dough and ambient temperatures, oven settings, steam method, notes on what worked, and tags. Search and filter your history. Turn a past bake back into a new recipe with one tap.
Settings that matter

Ratings & Reviews
This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Photos that vanished after an app update are back for good, plus starter reminders, and a few fixes to how bakes are tracked.
• Fixed: photos attached to your bake logs could disappear after updating the app. Photos are now stored in a way that survives updates. If a photo has already been lost, its log now shows a clear placeholder instead of an empty frame, so you can add a new one.
• New: after you schedule a bake, LoafLab offers to plan your starter for it. One tap sets two reminders, one for when to feed and one for when your starter should be at peak.
• New: the starter planner can now remind you when to feed, alongside the existing reminder for the peak.
• Fixed: numbers typed with a comma are read correctly. On keyboards where the decimal key is a comma, 4,5 g of salt was being read as 4 g, and the same went for hydration, yeast and feeding ratios.
• Changed: steps in a running bake stay unchecked until you tick them yourself. The clock no longer ticks them off for you, which also means you can always untick a step.
• Fixed: the planner now remembers the recipe you attached, even after you close the app.
• Changed: planning a bake now starts from a recipe, so your ingredients and amounts are always with you while you bake.
• Polish: the current step no longer looks like it overlaps the card behind it, and the ingredient row lines up properly.
