more Barbell calculator — now works both ways
• Type a weight into the total field and the bar loads itself with the right plates — no more dragging them on one at a time.
• Switching between the 20 kg and 15 kg bar recalculates the plates for the weight you asked for.
• If a weight can't be built from the available plates, the bar loads the closest match and tells you.
• The total is printed larger, so it's readable at arm's length.
Timer
• Number fields such as the EMOM interval or round count can now be cleared completely — deleting the last digit no longer leaves a
"1" behind. Empty fields are outlined in red and Start waits until everything is filled in.
• The last 5 seconds of every interval turn the clock red.
• The final 3·2·1 is louder, longer and rises in pitch, so you hear an interval end without looking at your phone.
Training Stats
• Re-entering the same weight weeks later now adds a new point to your progress chart instead of being discarded as a duplicate. A
100 kg 1RM held for four weeks is four points on the curve, not one.
1.1.7 5d ago
EMOM, rebuilt around the two numbers you actually pick.
• Interval + Rounds — enter the interval and how many rounds,
and the EMOM time fills itself in. 1:00 × 3 shows 3:00. The
time and the interval can no longer disagree with each other.
• New "Complex" switch — on an EMOM block, every exercise of
the block runs inside each interval instead of one movement
per interval. 3 Clean Pull, 3 High Hang Clean and 3 Front
Squat together within 1:30, six times over, with whatever
time you have left as your rest.
• The method is now simply called "EMOM" in the method list,
instead of "Every X Minutes on the Minute (EMOM X MIN)".
• The Rounds field opens the number pad, like the interval
fields do.
• The change log is now in German when the app is set to
German — every entry, back to the very first release.
1.1.6 Aug 18
Barbell calculator
• New in Create, under the AI Planner: pick a men's (20 kg) or women's
(15 kg) bar, drag the colour-coded plates (25 kg down to 0.5 kg) onto it
and read your total straight off.
• Plates load on both sides at once. A tap works instead of a drag, and
tapping a plate on the bar takes it off again.
• The whole tool fits on one screen — no scrolling.
Password reset
• A reset link now opens a screen where you can actually choose a new
password, instead of only signing you in. A forgotten password no longer
stays forgotten.
• Expired or refused links now say so instead of showing a generic error.
• The sign-in panel gains a show/hide password toggle, a password-length
hint and clearer error messages.
Training Stats
• Weights can be entered with a comma — 87,5 kg no longer has to be typed
as 87.5.
• Your 3RM, 5RM and 10RM values and their progress charts now save
reliably. They were being dropped, and logging a Girl or Hero WOD could
wipe them too.
Also fixed
• A workout you log manually keeps its method blocks in Completed, instead
of collapsing everything into one section.
• Dark mode no longer shows light backgrounds in some places.
1.1.5 Aug 17
Partner workouts — "I Go You Go"
• Invites no longer disappear. An invite used to vanish unless your
partner happened to have Probell open at that exact moment. It is now
saved and shown the next time they open the app.
• Pending invites also appear in the notification bell, so one you
tapped past is easy to find again. Answering it clears it.
AI Quick workout
• New Advanced button: pick several pieces of equipment at once
instead of just one.
• Choose your goal — Strength, Hypertrophy, Endurance or Mixed — and
what to train: Full-Body, Upper Body, Lower Body, Push, Pull or Legs.
• Optionally name a focus exercise, such as Back Squat, Bench Press or
Snatch, to build the session around.
• Every AI Quick workout now starts with a 6-minute AMRAP warm-up of
4–5 movements chosen to prepare exactly the patterns the main part
trains.
Signing up with email and password
• Verification emails are now delivered reliably. This previously
failed for most addresses without any indication — if you are still
waiting for one, there is now a "Resend verification email" button.
• The sign-up form asks for your password twice, so a typo cannot lock
you out of your account.
• The window no longer says "Sign in" while you are signing up.
Timer and training
• In the Timer, the round countdown for EMOM, Tabata and interval
workouts is now a large clock like the total time — readable from
across the gym.
• The reps number on the active set screen is much bigger.
1.1.4 Aug 14
What's New in 1.1.3
• Smarter exercise search: hyphens, plurals and word order no longer matter.
"Push up", "push-ups" and "dumbbell single arm row" all find the right
exercise — in every search bar.
• "I Go You Go" gets ½, ¼ and ⅛ buttons on the knock-down page, so you can
split a big set with your partner in a single tap.
• Fixed: X Rounds workouts ended after the first round instead of running
every round.
• Fixed: a movement used twice in one workout (e.g. Row in the warm-up and
again in the main part) now tracks each part on its own — correct targets,
and earlier results are no longer overwritten.
• Fixed: partner workouts keep running when a browser blocks the live
connection, and unexpected errors now show a message instead of a white
screen.
• New exercise: Jumping Jack.
1.1.3 Aug 7
Timer upgrades
• Set your own start countdown (default 5 seconds)
• Save your favourite timers by name and reload them with one tap
• Build custom interval sequences — name your own steps, reorder them and repeat the whole sequence
• The total and round clocks now stay perfectly in sync
Plan Shop
• New search bar, just like in Planned
• Category tabs and search stay pinned while the list scrolls
Navigation
• Slimmer bottom bar that sits closer to the screen edge — more room for your workout
• Evenly aligned icons
• iPhone-style slide animations when swiping between tabs or switching main screens
Exercises
• Added "Bent-Over Barbell Row"
1.1.2 Jul 29
New: Workout Timer
A free standalone timer in Create — for everyone, no subscription needed. Six modes: Stopwatch, Countdown, AMRAP, EMOM, Tabata and
For Time, with a 3·2·1 start countdown, sound cues, and a live round counter for AMRAP and For Time.
I Go You Go — "knock down the reps"
Partner workouts get a second page with big tap blocks that subtract from your shared team total, so you can split reps on the fly.
Find your way with page dots
New iPhone-style page dots show where you are and that you can swipe across the sub-tabs in the Planner, Planned, Plan Shop and
Stats.
Planned fixes & polish
- Content no longer runs off the screen — the list scrolls properly again.
- Every filter tab is swipeable, even empty ones, and the active tab scrolls fully into view.
- Cleaner icon-only Save button in the Planner, Text Planner and AI Planner.
1.1.1 Jul 27
Probell 1.1.0 - Swipe to get around
- Swipe between your main screens (Create - Planned - Plan Shop) and inside the Planner (Method - Exercises - Details). New page dots
show which screen you're on and that there's more to the left and right.
- "I Go You Go" partner workouts made simpler: just start your workout and invite a friend right when you reach the shared block - no
separate start. The shared session now looks like the normal training screen.
- Every search bar now has a one-tap clear X button.
- Polish: a cleaner "Details" view for planned workouts, German labels in Prepare's equipment list, and tidier close buttons
throughout.
1.1.0 Jul 22
"I Go You Go" is here — train together!
• Partner workouts — do a shared session live with a friend, each on your own phone, with a synced timer and a combined rep
counter. Split the reps however you like.
• Smarter Prepare checklist — see at a glance which equipment you already own (shown in green), with the right gear named
correctly (kettlebell vs dumbbell, climbing rope vs jump rope) and holds shown as time.
• 40+ new Olympic weightlifting drills — snatch, clean & jerk balances, block variations, pauses, high pulls and more.
• Repeat a movement across a session — the same exercise can now appear in more than one block (e.g. warm-up and the main part).
• Fixes & polish — hangs (Dead/Active Hang) now show time (mm:ss) instead of reps, and equipment names are consistent between
Profile and Prepare.
1.0.9 Jul 17
Reps in every round — EMOM workouts like Chelsea now show the target reps for every round, not just the first — both during
the live session and in your completed-workout history.
Cleaner equipment tags — fixed strength "row" exercises (Barbell Row, Dumbbell Row, Band Bent-Over Row and more) that were
wrongly listed as needing a rowing machine.
Slimmer workout screen — a tighter Started Training layout with a compact EMOM timer that fits on one screen, so you're not
scrolling to reach Save Set.
1.0.8 Jul 11
Editable AI workouts — Workouts created by the AI Planner and AI Quick Workout now carry a training method, so you can open
them in the Planner and adjust sets, reps and weights just like a workout you built yourself. Your existing AI workouts are
upgraded automatically.
Interface polish — Action buttons across the app (Planned, Workout Manager, Plan Shop, Text Planner) now show their icon
beside the label instead of stacked above it, for a cleaner, more consistent look.
1.0.7 Jul 9
This update makes planning, guided training and progress tracking a lot better:
• Smarter AI Planner & Quick Workout — now build varied formats (AMRAP, EMOM, rounds, ladders) plus dropsets and supersets, suggest
working weights from your logged rep-maxes, and create multi-block days (strength + conditioning finisher). Generated workouts are
fully editable in the Planner.
• Redesigned guided session — a bigger workout timer, a clear "Next up" preview of your coming sets (reps & weight), and the current
exercise right above your inputs. Audio cues and a per-interval EMOM countdown keep your pace, and the screen now stays awake.
• New Prepare button — see exactly what to set out before you start: barbell plate loading per side, the dumbbell and kettlebell
weights you'll need, and any other equipment.
• Start from the calendar — launch any planned session straight from the Planner's calendar view.
• Progress & motivation — automatic personal records (PRs) with a badge in your history, workout streaks, and milestone alerts in
the notification bell.
• Coach & Booking — Coach is now split into Training and Profile tabs, with a refreshed Booking layout.
• Polish — last-10 message inbox in the bell, completed German translations, and various fixes.

What's new in Probell 1.0.5
New
• Log completed workouts — trained outside the app (e.g. Hyrox)? Add the
session with its total time and average heart rate, and keep tracking
your progress.
• AI Planner top-ups — out of AI plans this month? Buy 10 more in a tap, or
see exactly how many days until your monthly allowance resets.
• Bigger exercise library — many new kettlebell and resistance-band
movements for more variety.
Improved
• Guided sessions now run full-screen, with a smaller total timer and a
preview of your next exercise.
• Enter decimal weights with a comma (e.g. 17,5 kg); weight fields now start
empty instead of 0.
• Softer dark mode with clearer contrast on Planned cards.
• Smarter "Equipped" matching in Exercises — interchangeable gear
(barbell/dumbbell/kettlebell, or resistance/high-resistance bands) now
counts correctly.
• German translations for muscle groups and the Primary/Secondary labels.
• Join a coach using their Friend ID.
1.0.5 Jun 22
What's New in 1.0.4
• AI Quick Workout: pick one piece of equipment (kettlebell, dumbbells,
barbell, bands or bodyweight) and the AI builds a full-body session for it.
• AI Planner: choose between "My equipment" and "Full gym" when generating.
• Planned: new search bar and filters — find workouts by source (AI Planner,
Text Planner, Planner) or by plan length (4 / 6 / 8 weeks).
• Cleaner, more compact header and clearer bottom-navigation labels.
• Text Planner is now fully available in German, plus more polish and fixes.
1.0.4 Jun 20
What's New in 1.0.3
• AI Planner (Pro): Generate a complete, evidence-based training plan in
seconds. Pick your goal and length (4, 6 or 8 weeks) and the AI builds
structured workouts straight into your Planner.
• Real-time team sync: When your coach starts a workout it now appears on
your device instantly — with more accurate timing and better battery life.
• Full German language support.
• Subscriptions: Probell Pro & Coach now activate reliably right after
purchase, plus a Restore Purchases option.
• Fresh look: redesigned header and a new app icon, plus many smaller fixes.
1.0.3 Jun 19
Fix the subscription error
1.0.2 Jun 18
1. Plan badge now updates after purchase. Previously, on the Profile screen, a successful purchase showed "Subscription activated!"
but the UI kept showing Free because it never re-fetched the profile. Now it calls refresh() after buying.
2. "Restore Purchases" is now reachable. It existed only on an orphaned page nothing linked to. Added a Restore button in the
Subscription section — this is both an Apple requirement and the recovery path for a purchase that was charged but didn't verify.
3. Real error messages instead of "Purchase failed." The generic toast that hid the actual cause now appends the real reason (e.g.
Apple's verification status), so failures are diagnosable.
