The tuner now follows big pitch changes smoothly. When you tune a string up or down through several semitones (a fresh string, drop tunings, or intonation work) the needle sweeps through every note along the way instead of appearing to freeze until the pitch nears its target. This applies to every theme. Normal tuning close to the target note is unchanged. Also: the Hack the Planet theme now shows its terminal fortune line on iPad in landscape.

Support for multi-input audio interfaces. If you use a multi-channel interface like a Focusrite Scarlett, you can now choose which input Centimental listens to. Plug your instrument into any jack, then open Settings > Audio Input > Input Channel and pick the matching channel. The picker appears automatically when a multi-channel interface is connected. Previously the tuner only listened to the first channel, so an instrument in the second jack stayed silent.

This update focuses on reliability and polish. • Apple Watch: fixed an occasional glitch where part of a theme could flash a solid colored square. Watch themes now animate more smoothly and pause cleanly when your wrist is down. • iPad: the Themes grid shows more themes at a glance, and the Strings and Settings screens are easier to read. • A more visual welcome: first-run setup now previews each theme, so you can see what you're choosing. • A clearer Pro screen: see exactly what Centimental Pro includes and what it costs, with Restore Purchase one tap away. • Easier string selection: the active-string indicator is now on by default, and tapping a string selects it instantly — even before you play a note. REFERENCE TONE: Need a pitch to tune against by ear? Open Settings, tap Reference Tone, pick any note and octave, and play it. It follows your reference pitch setting. Free for everyone. APPLE WATCH FIXES: Fixed a display glitch where parts of a theme could briefly flash a solid color, and resolved layout clipping that could cut off the note on some watch faces. POLISH AND RELIABILITY: Centered the Split Bar layout, made pitch detection faster and more consistent across iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, and tightened up how the app handles connected audio interfaces. The Noise Gate setting now takes effect instantly while tuning.

iCloud sync is now free for everyone in v1.1 — turn it on under Settings → Sync to share your preferences, favorites, and custom tunings across every device signed in to your iCloud account. Off by default. Theme polish: • Pure Flame now sits flush with the bottom of the screen on every device. • Color Gradient, Spectrum Spotlight, and Traffic Light share a consistent, refined layout across iPhone and iPad in both orientations. • Neon Crosshairs and Shooting Stars are now properly vertically centered. • Color Gradient's orb has a richer pulse that intensifies as you approach in-tune. Apple Watch: • A more focused theme picker — five themes that didn't render cleanly on the smaller display are now iPhone/iPad only. • The tuner holds the last detected note on screen between plucks, so you can glance at it while still playing. • Microphone sensitivity recalibrated for the wrist-near-instrument use case.
