JellyAmp 4.5 is here: Bigger albums and playlists Very large albums used to stop partway through, at 100 songs. Albums now load up to 1,000 songs and playlists up to 5,000. Play, Shuffle and Download All use the full list too. Customise your Home screen Settings has a new Home Screen section with a switch for each part of Home: Quick Actions, Continue Playing, Recently Played, Continue Listening, Recently Added Playlists, Recently Added and Amp Roulette. Switch off what you never use and it stays hidden across launches. AirPods pick up where you left off Taking out both AirPods paused your music, and putting them back in didn't start it again. Now JellyAmp carries on when the same headphones come back within two minutes, just like Apple Music. Bluetooth headphones and speakers work the same way.

JellyAmp 4.4 is here: Recently Played Home has a new Recently Played section. The top row holds the albums, playlists, artists and stations you started, newest first, and a tap plays the whole thing again, the same way you played it last time (an album you shuffled comes back shuffled). Press and hold one to choose Play or Shuffle, or to remove it from the row. Below that are the songs you played most recently, straight from your Jellyfin server, so plays from your other devices and other Jellyfin apps show up too. See All opens the full list, with Play and Shuffle buttons at the top. JellyAmp on your watch face JellyAmp now has a complication, so it can sit on your watch face and open with one tap instead of a trip to the app list. It fits circular, corner, rectangular and inline slots, and takes your watch face's colors. Great for listening on a cellular Apple Watch with your iPhone at home. Offline Mode In Offline Mode, Continue Playing only appears when the song is downloaded, and resuming skips any queued songs that aren't on your device, so nothing tries to stream with no connection.

This update adds stations, fixes artist playback, and makes a whole artist available offline in one tap. • Create Station Pick any song or artist and choose Create Station, and JellyAmp builds a queue of music that sits near it: the same corner of your library, by the artists who live there. It's in the artist page menu, in the Now Playing menu, and on any song you press and hold. The matching is done by your own Jellyfin server, so a station only ever plays music you actually have. Now Playing names the station it's on, so you can tell an endless mix from an album you queued. • An artist page that stays on the artist Playing an artist could quietly bring other people's music along. A various-artists compilation with a single guest appearance counted as one of the artist's albums, and its whole tracklist went into the shuffle, the artist's song count, and Download All Songs. JellyAmp now asks for the artist's own releases, and keeps only the tracks that actually credit them, so "Play Skank" plays Skank. • Download a whole artist Artist pages have a Download All Songs action, so an entire discography goes offline in one tap instead of album by album. • Amp Roulette, now with albums.

Local server address • If your Jellyfin server lives on your home network but you reach it through a public address, streams were leaving your network and coming back in. Settings now has a "Use local address at home" switch. Turn it on, enter the LAN address, and JellyAmp tries it first on every network change. If it doesn't answer within a second, the public address takes over. Same server, same account, no password to re-enter, and it's off by default so nothing changes unless you want it to. Your full song list, every time. • Fixed the Songs tab showing only your favorites on large libraries or slow connections. • Big libraries now load in pages, so the full list arrives instead of timing out.

Every song by an artist, in one place. • All Songs: artist pages now have an "All Songs" view, so you no longer have to open each album to find a track. • A-Z index: drag the alphabet bar on the right to jump straight to a letter. • Sort your way: keep the album order or switch to alphabetical by title. • Play, Shuffle, or add the artist's whole catalogue to a playlist in one tap. • Songs with their own artwork now show it instead of borrowing the album or first track's cover. • Improved shuffle algorithm Synced Offline Playlists • Keep Playlists Synced Offline: turn on "Keep Synced Offline" in a playlist's menu and JellyAmp keeps its downloads matched to the playlist. New tracks are downloaded automatically, and tracks removed from the playlist are cleaned up from your device. • No wasted downloads: unchanged tracks are never re-downloaded or re-transcoded, so even huge playlists stay up to date in seconds. • Great for CarPlay and offline listening: your curated playlists stay ready to play, no network needed. • Audiobooks now have next and previous chapter buttons, in the app and on the CarPlay screen. Notes: • Apple Watch playlist sync is not included in this release. Downloads on the watch stay fully manual ("Save to Watch"), so syncing can't surprise you with big transfers or fill up the watch's storage. • Heads up: when a track leaves a synced playlist, its download is removed unless another synced playlist still includes it. If you also want that song offline on its own (or as part of an album), download it separately after it leaves the playlist. • Clear guidance helps you manage an existing recurring subscription when buying Lifetime.

What's new: CarPlay • New Mixes section at the top of Home: Shuffle All Songs, four genre mixes, and a button to swap in different genres. One tap to start music without scrolling a list while you drive. Siri • "Hey Siri, play The Beatles on JellyAmp" now works, on iPhone and in CarPlay. Ask for an artist, album, playlist or song. Some bug fixes: Apple Watch • Fixed the cause of constant buffering. The watch was streaming full size original files and ignoring your quality setting. • The watch now buffers further ahead, so a brief drop in signal no longer interrupts playback. • The next track starts loading before the current one ends, so track changes are faster. Note: when a song is larger than your watch quality setting, the watch now asks your Jellyfin server to convert it on the fly (shown as "Transcoding" on your server dashboard). This is normal and light work for most servers, but on very low-powered hardware it can cause buffering of its own. If that's your setup, lower the watch quality setting or use downloads. Downloads • Tracks already within your chosen quality are saved without being re-encoded, so no quality is lost.

What's new in JellyAmp Your full artist roster, finally visible If your library has soundtrack or compilation albums tagged with "Various Artists" as the album artist, the performers on those albums used to be missing from JellyAmp entirely. They didn't show in the Artists tab and couldn't be found in search, even though every track was tagged correctly. JellyAmp now asks your Jellyfin server for all artists, including those credited only on individual tracks, so everyone shows up in the Artists list, in search, and with their own artist page listing the albums they appear on. Note: your artist list may look fuller after this update. That's your library's real cast finally being counted. Apple Watch: controls you can trust Controlling iPhone playback from your wrist is now far more dependable. Previously, if the watch's connection to the phone hiccuped at the wrong moment, a tap on pause could start playback and vice versa. The watch now tells the phone exactly what you meant ("play" or "pause") rather than "flip whatever you're doing," so a delayed or repeated message can never reverse your intent. If a command truly can't reach the phone, the watch tells you instead of failing silently. Apple Watch: audiobooks get audiobook buttons While listening to an Audiobookshelf book, the watch previously showed music-style previous/next track buttons. The buttons did the right thing (skipping 15 seconds back or 30 seconds forward), but they didn't look like it. The watch now shows proper interval-skip controls for books, in JellyAmp's own Now Playing screen and in the watchOS system player alike. Update your iPhone and Apple Watch apps together to get the full effect of the watch improvements.

JellyAmp 3. Our new major update! Audiobooks: JellyAmp now plays your audiobooks. Connect an Audiobookshelf server alongside your Jellyfin music and your library comes with you. • Audiobookshelf support. Add your server in Settings and a new Audiobooks section appears in your Library. Your music stays exactly as it was. • A player built for listening: chapters, playback speed from 0.75x to 2x, skip back 15s or forward 30s, and a sleep timer (by minutes or end of chapter). • Pick up anywhere. Your place syncs to your server as you listen, so a book you started on your Mac continues right where you left off on your iPhone. • Continue Listening. Jump back into your current book straight from the Home screen. • Offline downloads. Save books to your iPhone or iPad for listening without a connection. • CarPlay. When an Audiobookshelf server is connected, an Audiobooks tab joins your library so you can browse and play on the road. • Apple Watch. The watch app is a companion for audiobooks: browse your books and control playback running on your iPhone. Audiobooks can't be downloaded to the watch (due to the limited watch storage), so playback happens on your phone. Your music experience is untouched. Surprise Me, On Repeat, and Mixes stay music only. Audiobooks are a completely separate, optional add-on. All-new Mac app: JellyAmp is now on the Mac as a true native app, built for macOS from the ground up. A real desktop music player with a sidebar library, keyboard shortcuts, and the look and feel of a Mac app. It's included with your existing purchase, so just open the App Store on your Mac and download JellyAmp. Apple Watch improvements: This update is all about making JellyAmp better on your wrist. • Scrolling fixed: the Now Playing screen no longer skips around in the song when you scroll with your finger. Seeking now requires a deliberate sideways drag. • Digital Crown volume: tap the new Volume button in Now Playing and turn the crown to adjust volume precisely. What's new in 1.7 • JellyAmp now works with Jellyfin servers accessed over Tailscale. (i.e http://host.tail16cit1.ts.net:8096) • Reminder: your server's firewall needs to allow inbound traffic on port 8096 for the app to reach it.

JellyAmp 1.6 • HTTP server support: connect to self-hosted Jellyfin servers that run over plain HTTP (typical for home/LAN setups). You'll see a small warning so you know the connection isn't encrypted, but the choice is yours. • Clearer Server URL field: an inline note now appears when you enter an http:// address, so there's no guessing about what will happen on Connect. • Under-the-hood improvements: refinements to networking, stability, and overall polish for a smoother playback experience.

What's New in 1.5 • Fixed Apple Watch playback so tapping a new song or the skip button actually switches tracks.
