Two minutes of reading, walking, or watching educational long form content earn one minute inside your distracting apps. That's the whole deal, and Brio never bends it.
HOW IT WORKS
Pick the apps and websites that distract you. Brio locks them and keeps them locked. When you want in, you earn it:
READ — 40 classic books built in, from Marcus Aurelius to Jane Austen, stored on your device. Or import your own (PDF, EPUB, TXT). Minutes only count while pages actually turn.
WATCH — Long-form video worth your attention. Start with Brio's curated shelves or paste any YouTube link. Time only counts while you're actually watching. Shorts are rejected outright.
WALK — Tap Walk, pocket the phone, go outside. Your steps become minutes, counted by your iPhone's motion sensor, with a live card in the Dynamic Island.
Then unlock: you earn 1 minute of screen time for every 2 minutes spent reading, walking, or watching. Use your earned time to unlock your apps.
Change your mind after unlocking? Tap Lock Back In and every unused minute returns to your balance. No other blocker we've found does this.
THE SHAPE OF A DAY
A small daily minimum must be earned before your first unlock. At 4 a.m. everything resets and the day starts clean. Meet the minimum day after day and your streak grows.
WHO IT'S FOR
Students. Developers. Anyone with ADHD. Anyone fighting doomscrolling, brain rot, or a dopamine cycle they can't break on willpower alone. Anyone who tried to use their phone less and failed because there was nothing to do when it went dark.
PRIVACY
Screen Time data is processed on your device by Apple's framework and never sent to us or anyone else. What you read and watch stays yours. Analytics use a random anonymous ID; we never collect your name or email.

MEMBERS FIRST.
A few paying members were shown a membership screen while Brio was still confirming their subscription with the App Store. That's fixed. Brio now waits for Apple's answer before it ever offers you anything, and keeps your access on slow or missing connections.
Also in this update:
• Every price you see is the exact price Apple will charge, in your storefront's currency.
• The 24-hour yearly offer now shows when it has ended instead of quietly changing price.
• Membership options only appear when they actually apply to you.
