Measure tempo by tapping in the app, from the Home Screen widget, from the Lock Screen, or optionally through the Live Activity Widget. Minimal and fast.
Tap BPM is a minimalist BPM counter for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. Tap in rhythm and the app calculates the current tempo from the active tap sequence.
The app focuses on exactly what matters in the moment:
- large BPM display
- direct tap area in the main view
- Home Screen widget, Lock Screen widgets, and an optional Live Activity Widget that can be enabled for fast tapping without launching the app
- Apple Watch app plus complications and Smart Stack widget for quick access on your wrist
- two tempo modes: Responsive for quick tempo changes and Precise for longer tap sequences
- outlier filtering plus an evaluated/total indicator, so it is clear how many taps are currently used
- BPM updates with one decimal place
- configurable sequence reset with 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, or 4.0 seconds
- optional Keep BPM behavior after sequence reset
- manual reset for the current sequence
Tap BPM stores only the local tempo state, tap sequence, reset timer, selected mode, and Keep BPM setting on your devices so the app, widget, and Apple Watch stay in sync. There is no login, no advertising, and no unnecessary complexity.
