Puppii's scanner got sharper, and a lot faster. FASTER For the hazards Puppii knows cold — xylitol, ibuprofen, nicotine and others — the verdict now appears almost the moment you scan, instead of waiting for the whole answer to arrive. IT READS THE LABEL, NOT JUST THE FOOD Puppii now checks the parts of a pet food label that actually carry weight, and tells you what they mean for your dog: - Whether it's a complete diet at all — or whether the bag says "intermittent or supplemental feeding only" - Whether a puppy food is safe for a LARGE-breed puppy. Most bags carry that warning. Almost nobody reads it, and getting it wrong causes joint problems that don't undo themselves. - Cat food, when it's your dog standing there - Calories, turned into how much to actually put in the bowl for a dog your dog's size A MORE HONEST INGREDIENT GRADE We rebuilt how Puppii grades ingredients — and stopped marking foods down for the things veterinary nutritionists say don't matter: by-products, corn, grains and meat meal. The grade now reflects how a food's nutrition was substantiated and whether there's a genuine risk in the panel, rather than whether the ingredient list sounds appealing. It also no longer appears on things that aren't dog food. A SIMPLER APP We've removed the Explore tab to keep Puppii focused on the thing it's for: telling you whether what's in your hand is safe for your dog.

Puppii's scanner got a serious upgrade. FASTER Scans come back about twice as fast, and the verdict now appears while the rest of the answer is still loading — so you know whether something's safe in about two seconds instead of waiting for the whole card. SIZED FOR YOUR DOG Puppii now asks your dog's actual weight, so "how much is safe" is a real number for them rather than an average for their size. A SHARPER, MORE HONEST SCANNER Dozens of fixes to what Puppii knows and how carefully it says it: - Zinc oxide — sunscreen and diaper cream — is now treated as the emergency it is, not a stomach upset - Cooked bones are recognised inside the things that contain them: a rotisserie chicken, a carcass, ribs, a leftover roast - Raw meat, raw bones and raw organ are given a straight answer about pathogens and obstruction, without lecturing you - White chocolate is no longer called a poisoning — cocoa butter isn't cocoa solids — while real chocolate still is - Household hazards like a lit candle get a real verdict instead of being waved through - CBD and other unregulated supplements are no longer called "generally safe" "HE ALREADY ATE IT" Every result about something your dog shouldn't have now leads with the question you're actually asking, one tap away.

Reminders that actually earn their place. Seasonal warnings. Puppii can now give you a heads-up when a hazard turns up — wild mushrooms after autumn rain, chocolate and sugar-free candy at Halloween, antifreeze in December. Opt in when it asks, or don't; nothing else changes either way. Re-check reminders. Scan something that's worth keeping an eye on and Puppii will nudge you in two days to look again and compare, so you catch a change early instead of late. Photo scanning fixed. Large photos from your library now upload reliably, and if something does go wrong the app tells you what actually happened instead of blaming your connection. A cleaner look through onboarding, and a fix for content overlapping the top of the screen.

Answers built around YOUR dog. Sized for your dog. Tell Puppii your dog's size and age, and every "how much is safe" answer is calculated for them. A 9 lb Chihuahua and a 90 lb Shepherd now get genuinely different amounts, not the same generic advice. Scan barcodes. Point the camera at a product barcode and Puppii reads the ingredient list — catching hidden dangers like xylitol, which often appears on labels as "birch sugar." Fuller scan results. Every scan now shows why the verdict is what it is, exactly how much is safe, symptoms to watch for, and safer alternatives — all visible up front instead of tucked away. Upload from your library. Analyze a photo you already took, no camera needed. Faster, cleaner onboarding and a refreshed look throughout.

Scanning is now one button. Point Puppii at any food, label, plant — or at your dog — and it works out what you're asking. No modes to pick. Barcodes detected automatically. Results open full screen, still sized to your dog. Also fixed a layout bug on scan results and removed an incorrect consult fee from the vet note.

v1.2.6 contains no user-facing changes. It updates our Meta (Facebook) SDK to the current version and improves purchase-attribution wiring (SKAdNetwork configuration and analytics identifiers) ahead of running app-install ads. All screens, features, and purchase flows are identical to the previously approved v1.2.5. App overview (context, unchanged): Puppii is an AI assistant for dog parents. During onboarding, users create a profile for their dog (name, breed, age, energy level) and the AI personalizes its guidance — food safety, behavior, training, and general care. Puppii is informational only: it never diagnoses or prescribes, and directs users to a veterinarian for medical concerns (a persistent disclaimer is shown in chat). Monetization (unchanged from the previously approved version): New users receive ONE free AI chat answer after onboarding. After that, a paid subscription is required for AI features (chat and photo scan). There is no free trial. Plans: Monthly $9.99, Annual $49.99 (auto-renewing; full price and renewal terms shown in plain text on the paywall beneath the purchase button). Purchases are processed via StoreKit/RevenueCat and can be completed with a sandbox Apple ID at no charge. Account creation (unchanged): No account is required to use the app or to purchase. Sign in with Apple is offered (optional, skippable) only after a successful purchase, to back up the dog's profile. Existing users can sign in via the "Already have an account?" link on the first onboarding screen. A demo account is provided in the sign-in fields if needed. How to review the full experience: 1. Complete the short onboarding (photo optional; pick any answers). 2. The chat opens and automatically answers the question selected during onboarding — this is the free answer. 3. Sending a second message shows the paywall. Complete the purchase in sandbox to unlock all features (chat, Scan, Explore, Walk, Health). 4. After purchase, the optional Sign in with Apple screen appears; it can be skipped with "Maybe later." Privacy: a one-time notice is shown before AI use explaining that messages and photos are processed by OpenAI to generate responses, with links to both privacy policies. The app does not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt because it does not access the IDFA or track users across apps; ad attribution uses Apple's SKAdNetwork (aggregate) only. No longer available in China.
