Most apps optimize for the loudest crowds. Hidden Gems optimizes for the right crowd — the friends, coworkers, and locals whose taste you already trust. Every recommendation comes from a real person you chose to follow, with a note, a rating, and the vibe.
• Feed — a scored feed of recommendations from the people you follow + friends-of-friends. Like, comment, save, and share via a link that opens right back in the app.
• Map — find places near you, tap a pin to open a card with photos and one-tap directions, or browse a friend's pinned guide.
• Search — browse rails by vibe (Date Night, Quick Lunch, Late Night, Lowkey, Solo Dining) and by cuisine, with suggested places scored by your friends' engagement.
• Saved — one tap to bookmark a place, organize into named collections, and share a collection with friends via a link.
• Messages — end-to-end encrypted 1:1 and group chats (up to 10). Send photos that only the people in the chat can see.
• Events — post a dated event at any place; one tap adds it to your iPhone Calendar.
• Profile — your grid of recommendations, your followers, your following. People You May Know surfaces friends-of-friends to follow next.
