A big update - everything new since v11. AIS VESSEL TRACKING - Nearby AIS vessels show on the map and in the AR POI Finder, appearing within about a second of opening the view instead of after a long wait, and the area being queried follows you as you move. - In AR, vessel positions are predicted from the last reported course and speed. Stale fixes get a dashed outline and an age label; very old ones are hidden. A chip shows in-range, stale and occluded counts, and off-screen vessels get edge chevrons. - Vessels are drawn as 3D side-view shapes at true angular size; nearer ones hide those behind, and hulls sit on the horizon. Status icons (anchored, sailing, aground) appear on the symbol and the badge. - Tap a vessel for full detail: a live "last seen" age that counts up, range and bearing, speed, course and more. You choose which fields the card shows. "More info" opens MyShipTracking inside the app. KNOWLEDGE: MORSE & FLAGS - A new reference section. Translate any message into international signal flags (ICS) or Morse code on the fly, or tap letters and digits in the grid to build one. - Play Morse through the speaker (a clean 600 Hz tone) or blink it on the torch, with no extra permission. NATO / ICS toggle for number flags. - Two-letter ICS signals and a Racing Rules of Sailing page, with a live meaning hint as you type. Everything works offline. ON-THE-WATER TOOLS - The magnetic variation and tides tools let you pick any point on the map; tide data fetches automatically on a long press. WAVES & SWELL - Wave and swell are now part of the weather: height, direction and period, both in the forecast and along your recorded tracks. - Heights use a colour scale, so a glance tells you what's building, and arrows show the direction the waves are travelling. - A new pane lets you choose exactly which weather fields appear in the forecast sheet. In the trace editor the same data is grouped into Wind, Sea and Sky sections. OFFLINE DOWNLOADS - Map tiles, weather, marine data and nautical marks now download together instead of one after another, so saving an area is faster. - When weather can't be fetched you get a clear, offline-aware message with a Retry button instead of a silent gap, and fetching is more reliable on flaky connections. COCKPIT - The compass is now a dial with a heading needle and cardinal marks, not just a number. - Speed shows a trend sparkline under the reading, and the tide card now shows the next high or low with its time and height. - On tablets the Cockpit keeps the same clear layout as on a phone but uses the extra space for larger, more readable cards. RECORDING & PRIVACY - A track that is still recording is clearly marked "In progress" and is protected from accidental deletion. - Before the system asks for "always" location, a clear in-app screen explains what is used and why. Your location data stays on the device and is only shared if you export a trace yourself. - A new branded launch screen. LANGUAGES - Dozens of screens that still appeared in English are now fully translated in every supported language.
