Compalight is a specialised text markup tool. Import text from any source — paste, photograph with OCR, or dictate — edit freely, and review every change in a word-level redline. WHAT YOU GET 1. Three-tab workflow: Original (unlocked/ read-only), Show Changes (word-by-word redline), and Output (your edited text). Switch between tabs with a tap. 2. Word-level change tracking with move detection. Insertions in blue, deletions in red, relocated text in green. Tap any change to revert it individually. 3. Four export formats: plain text, clipboard, as well as comprehensive Word file (.docx), and comprehensive PDF — both with full redline markup, including Original, Changes, and Output sections. 4. Local OCR text import. Photograph a printed page and Compalight recognises the text using Apple Vision. Optional clean-up pass fixes common OCR errors like broken words and stray page numbers. 5. On-device speech dictation. Tap the microphone and dictate text directly into the editor. Powered by Apple Speech, processed entirely on your device. PRIVACY FIRST Everything stays on your device. No cloud. No AI. No analytics. No tracking. No ads. No account required. Compalight stores only three preferences locally: appearance mode, language, and consent flags. Nothing is transmitted anywhere. MULTILINGUAL Full support for English, German, French, Spanish, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese (Mandarin). The app manages its own language setting. Run Compalight in any supported language regardless of your device language.
