I have been on the hunt for a knitting app that has a better UI than KnitCompanion, that doesn’t cost a small fortune nor require attending a “college” to learn the features. This may be it! It is a pay-as-you-go app rather than a subscription. And, the developer has been open and VERY responsive to my feedback to not only do what KC does, but faster, better, and more intuitively! I am on the grandfathered plan for KC so I’ve been around since the beginning. I’ve done all of the cutting, pasting, highlighting, creating keys, etc, to make a pattern easier to read in KC. With this app, I simply import the pattern, input my size and the app interprets the pattern, lists concise instructions FOR MY SIZE, confirms stitch counts after each row, and is in beta to interpret charts, too! I use this on my iPad so the pattern can be viewed next to the instructions, if needed, so no more flipping between screens. With every new update, it is becoming my DREAM knitting app! Highly recommend that you give it a try!!!

This is the stitching app I’ve been looking for. (And probably the one you are looking for also!) You can easily import patterns and it will create a row by row set of instructions for you, to help keep track of where you are in the project and what steps comes next. Works beautifully with Ravelry and with PDF imports from files. It’s a pay per project app instead of a subscription which is absolutely ideal for someone like me who knits irregularly through the year. That way I’m not paying for a month where I’m not knitting. I love this and wish all apps could have this pay model. (And the credits are extremely reasonably priced!)But most of all I want to give a huge shout out to the developer who replied to me personally after I sent in a feature request, and worked to make that feature happen in the very next release. I have never had such a great customer service experience. It was dreamy!!Fan for life over here. This is such a fantastic app!

This app is saving me from my own knitting-induced psychological warfare. Every project was just me aggressively counting stitches, losing my place every 4 seconds, and whispering “wait… was I on row 38 or 48?” into the void.Now I actually know where I am in my pattern??? Revolutionary behavior honestly. The PDF tracking is SO good and the whole app feels super clean and gives cozy crafty vibes ✨You can tell this was made by someone who understands that knitters are simultaneously creating art and fighting for their lives. 10/10. My yarn pile and I are obsessed. 🧶

Gave this a shot on a whim and like what this app is trying to to. Need to spend more time with it but so far I’m intriguedUpdate: Its continued to improve and now it’s become my primary knitting app. Love it and recommend it to friends.
