See where vehicle transmitters go quiet, and cleaner traffic details. VMAT Transmit Map (new layer). Turn it on from the Map tab to see the FAA boundary that decides where an airport vehicle's ADS-B transmitter broadcasts: a solid magenta outline around the area where vehicles transmit, and dashed magenta outlines around the zones inside it where they stay silent. When a vehicle drops off the traffic display, this shows whether it simply drove out of the transmit area. Available at the airports where the FAA has published a transmit map. Ground vehicles no longer show aircraft details. Airport vehicles were picking up an aircraft type, tail number and route from their transponder code — an ops truck could appear as a Boeing 737. Vehicles now show only what is really known about them. Crash-phone alerts: removed the "Play audio" link, which could never work — the recording is not accessible to the app. Refreshed the in-app description and the D-ATIS data-source credit.

Hold-short accuracy at complex airports, and small display fixes. Hold-short lines draw true. Three fixes from operator reports: 1. movement-area boundary points and taxiway-intersection holds are no longer drawn as runway hold bars (they carpeted the ramps at some airports); 2. airports whose painted hold lines span wide curved taxiway throats no longer show a second phantom bar crossing the real one; 3. where two taxi paths share one wide throat, the app no longer draws two crossing bars for the single painted line. What you see now matches the paint on the pavement. Long airport names wrap instead of forcing the side panel to scroll sideways.

TRACK REPLAY (ADD-ON) Scrub back through up to 7 days of surface traffic. Pick a day, a start time and a length on the Traffic tab, then watch recorded traffic play back on the map — pause, scrub, and play at 1x, 4x or 10x, with times in your airport's local time. The whole screen frames itself in amber during a replay so recorded traffic can never be mistaken for live. Available to organizations with the replay add-on — contact uAvionix to enable it. RUNWAY ALERTS THAT CLEAR THEMSELVES A CHECK RUNWAY or TRAFFIC FINAL alert now clears on its own a few seconds after the traffic is gone, and fires fresh (with a new tone) if you re-enter. Tap-to-dismiss still works. The hold time is tunable under Alert Tuning. FEED STATUS, IN PLAIN WORDS If an FAA surveillance site goes into maintenance or offline, an amber banner tells you so — instead of the map simply going quiet. If the problem is on our side, the banner says that instead. MORE ON EVERY AIRCRAFT Aircraft type, tail number, origin and destination in the selected-target panel and (optionally) on data tags. Arrival and departure boards show tail numbers. New S / M / L data-tag size setting. PLUS Airport diagram fixes — hold-short line improvements, and stale map data refreshes more reliably.

Refinements to alerting, and the free tier extended. TRAFFIC FINAL is now a red warning rather than a yellow caution. An aircraft inside half a mile of the threshold is an immediate-action condition, and it now looks like one. Your vehicle, recognized. Surface Ops can now learn which ADS-B track is the vehicle you are in — it offers by callsign ("Looks like you're in OPS1") once it sees a track moving with you, and asks again if you change vehicles. Once confirmed, your own vehicle no longer counts as traffic against you. Entirely optional, and your position and every alert are still based on GPS. Manage it under Settings › Your Vehicle. Airfield constraints are now free at participating airports — ground stops, delay programs and deicing status no longer require activation. The free tier is now runway safety alerts, weather, and airfield constraints. Alert history is per airport. Alerts raised at one airport no longer appear in the Alerts tab while you are viewing another. Crash-phone alerts now expire on their own when a tower sends no all-clear, and runway matching handles single-digit designators (runway 1 vs 01).

Inbound diversion alerts — Surface Ops now monitors FAA flight-plan activity and warns your team the moment an aircraft is diverted to your airport, with a live ETA — before it appears on the surface picture. New Ops tab — runway demand for the next 3 hours vs. published rates, active runway configuration, arrival and departure boards, and active constraints (ground stops, delay programs, advisories). New Alerts tab — one timestamped history of every alert this session, with tap-to-reopen detail. Supports tower crash-phone alerts at participating airports. Runway alert tuning — adjust alert thresholds for your airport (PIN-protected), plus more reliable alert tones.

The primary feature for 1.1.1 is an improvement to the background map loading stability in low network bandwidth situations by making the delivery of the map layers more efficient. This does not change any features that did not exist previously other than adding stability. Additional small UI tweaks to the weather information includes bug fix and reorganization of some weather information. No new major capabilities since 1.1.0

This update adds richer weather and new safety-awareness features: • Weather — a detailed weather view powered by Apple WeatherKit: current conditions, next‑hour precipitation, hourly and daily forecasts, and active weather alerts. Switch to the aviation METAR/TAF view anytime, and glance at conditions from the map. • Emergency squawk alerts — a visual and audible alert when an aircraft transmits an emergency transponder code (7700/7600/7500), with that aircraft highlighted in red on the map. • Track history — tap any target to see its recent track. • Runway alert refinements — fewer nuisance alerts for departing aircraft that have climbed out. Plus various map and display refinements.

Expanded surface traffic coverage to all 43 ASDE-X / ASSC airports nationwide (Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, JFK, LAX, Denver, and more). New airport directory in the picker — see every airport with a live feed at a glance. Live feed status indicator now shows real-time FAA publisher health. Improvements to the activation experience: longer login sessions, your license code visible and copyable in Settings, and automatic recovery from transient issues so you stay signed in.

The app now displays a disclaimer when a SWIM-source airport is selected. Use as supplemental situational awareness only — do not rely on it for traffic separation, runway crossings, or vehicle movements. Map improvements: radar-only surface contacts at SWIM airports now render in a muted color so ADS-B-identified aircraft stand out at busy fields. The aircraft detail panel now shows the ICAO hex. Runway labels and hold-short bars default off for a cleaner opening view — toggle on under the Map tab. Fixes: resolved a tap-to-select crash on certain track types; improved on-ground detection at SWIM-source airports; squawk codes normalized to four-character display.

Improvements to license activation. When activating a code that's currently in use on another device, the app now asks for confirmation before signing the other device out.
