Why Lumière is different
Most skincare AI was trained on lighter skin. The downstream consequence is the one users live with: a Black, Brown, or deeper-skinned person opens a skincare app and gets back "you have oily skin" as her entire analysis. We anchor every reading to a tone classification first — Fitzpatrick I–VI plus the Monk Skin Tone scale — then interpret findings in that context.
