New theme: Maze Muncher, plus a zoom you set once.
• Maze Muncher: a new arcade maze map. Streets become blue-walled corridors lined with pellets, places turn into colored ghosts and bonus fruit, and the marker is a chomping muncher that eats its way along your route.
• Navigation zoom is now remembered. Zoom out with the + and − buttons or a pinch while navigating, and the map keeps that framing after re-centering and on your next trip. There is also a Navigation Zoom setting.
• The Now Playing option now says it works with Apple Music. Other music apps don't share what they're playing with other apps, so they can't be shown.

Smoother maps and CarPlay fixes.
• The home screen widget no longer redraws the map over and over while you move, which could stall the app during a drive.
• CarPlay opens straight on your location instead of sweeping across the map from the other side of the world.
• Fixed a CarPlay crash when a second error message arrived while one was still on screen.
• The now-playing pill no longer stalls the map when the Music app reconnects.
• New installs start on Great Street Empire V, the theme most people pick, and it now leads the theme list. If you're updating, your map stays as it is.

Fixes for navigation.
• The banner now shows the right turn every time. On routes that use the same street twice, such as a U-turn or a loop around the block, it could show the arrow and street of the turn before or after the one coming up.
• Arrival is recognized even when GPS accuracy drops at the end of the drive, as it does in garages and between tall buildings.
• The marker no longer drifts along the route while you are stopped.
• Voice guidance no longer freezes the app for several seconds after a prompt on some devices.
• The now-playing pill loads album artwork in the background instead of stalling the map.
• Fixed a crash when deleting an offline map while it was still downloading.
1.0.29 Oct 1
Navigation gets a voice, a choice of routes, and a much steadier fix in the city.
• Voice guidance. Spoken directions before every turn, in your language, lowering your music while they play. Mute from the banner or in Settings.
• Choose your route. Up to three options with time differences and toll markers; tap a chip or a line on the map to switch before you start.
• Turn markers on the route line, with an arrow on the maneuver coming up.
• Steadier tracking on stacked highways, ramps, and in tunnels: the marker stays on your road, keeps moving when the signal drops, and a Recalculate button is there when you know better.
• Search results for local places open reliably, and favorites can be renamed so “Mom’s house” comes up when you search for it.
• Fog of War: a new mode that hides the map until you explore it, with its own stats and achievements.
• CarPlay: End Route and Recalculate stay on screen during guidance.
1.0.28 Sep 21
CarPlay now works like a proper navigation app.
• Your iPhone and CarPlay share one trip. Start directions on either screen and it appears on both; end it anywhere and it ends everywhere.
• An End Route button during turn-by-turn on CarPlay, and guidance wraps up on its own once you arrive.
• Faster rerouting, with a clear “Rerouting…” banner on both screens the moment you leave the route.
• Nearby on CarPlay finds real places sorted by distance, and every button on screen now does something.
• Arrival times use live traffic, so motorway ETAs are no longer far off.
1.0.27 Sep 13
Navigation fixes, led by a CarPlay crash.
• Fixed a crash on CarPlay when choosing a destination.
• Zooming during turn-by-turn keeps the map locked on you. Pinch or tap the zoom buttons and it stays centered on your marker, holding the zoom you picked as you speed up and slow down — only dragging the map unlocks it so you can look around.
• New in Settings → Navigation: Zoom with Speed. On by default; turn it off to hold one zoom level for the whole drive.
• CarPlay now stops drawing the map while it is off screen, for steadier navigation and less battery use.
1.0.26 Sep 10
Navigation that keeps up with you, plus a new map skin: Velocity Rush: Neon Heat.
• The map now follows you. Tap the location button and it stays locked on your marker; drag the map to look around and tap Re-center to snap back.
• Turn-by-turn gets a proper driving camera: the map turns to face the road ahead, keeps you low in the frame so you can see what's coming, and zooms out as you speed up.
• Neon night-racing streets — a deep purple city, magenta parkland and glowing arterial roads.
• Redesigned place markers: colour-coded neon badges that tell food, transport and services apart at a glance.
• A new destination pin, plus a dedicated safehouse marker for the place you've saved as Home.
• Matching app icon, widget and Lock Screen styling.
Plus the usual stability and performance improvements.
1.0.25 Sep 7
CarPlay navigation is clearer and more reliable:
• The themed position arrow and route line stay visible while navigating.
• Route progress follows the road and automatically reroutes when you go off course.
• Search handles special characters more reliably.
The same navigation and search improvements are included in the iPhone app, plus stability and privacy improvements.
