Guided Journal Sometimes you want to write, but you need somewhere to begin. Guided Journal gives you five thoughtful prompts each day. Choose one prompt, answer several, or follow all five. Every response is saved independently, stays editable, and can be reopened later from your Guided archive. Yesterday, Through You Yesterday, Through You gives you seven daily reflection prompts inspired by stories from the world around you. It is not a news feed. It is a quieter way to notice what stays with you, think about how outside events affect your perspective, and turn that reaction into something personal. Use one prompt or all seven. Each reflection keeps its own pages and history. Built for typing The iPhone companion is designed around comfortable typed journaling. Choose from multiple writing styles, including Typewriter, Classic, and Cursive, while keeping your saved font preference intact. Use the normal Apple keyboard, including system dictation when enabled on your device. Make your writing your own Choose from a range of typed-text colors and create a writing style that feels more personal than a plain text editor. Page numbers remain subtle, keeping the journal feeling intact without adding unnecessary interface noise. Your writing stays yours Past entries remain editable. Guided Journal and Yesterday, Through You responses remain independent, so switching between prompts never overwrites another reflection. Cross-device conflict handling is designed to preserve authored versions instead of silently discarding writing when edits happen on more than one device. Private by design Journal - From Me is local-first. Your writing is not sent to the public prompt service. Guided Journal requests only the date needed to retrieve that day’s prompts. Journal content may sync privately through iCloud when available. No social profile. No public journal. No advertising system built around what you write. Free to journal The core Journal experience remains free. An optional subscription unlocks Guided Journal and Yesterday, Through You, with monthly and annual options presented through Apple. Previously saved guided responses remain yours even if your subscription later ends. What’s new: • Guided Journal is now a full writing surface with five thoughtful prompts each day and a searchable archive of past responses. • Yesterday, Through You now supports all seven daily prompts, with every reflection keeping its own independent pages and history. • Journal and freeform writing are unified into one cleaner experience with multiple pages per day and editable past entries. • The iPhone companion remains typed-first, with improved continuity across Journal, Guided Journal, and Yesterday, Through You. • New installations now default to the Typewriter writing style, while existing Cursive, Classic, and Typewriter preferences remain unchanged. • Typed-text color choices remain available so you can personalize the look of your writing. • Subtle page numbers are preserved throughout the writing experience. • Guided and Yesterday, Through You responses now preserve prompt ownership more safely, including during sync and cross-device edits. • Cross-device conflict handling has been improved so independent edits can merge where possible, while true same-page conflicts preserve both authored versions instead of silently losing one. • Guided Journal now uses a curated 1,000-prompt corpus with five date-specific prompts published each day. • Guided prompt caching is more reliable, including same-day ETag support and graceful handling when the network is unavailable. • StoreKit access handling has been strengthened for purchases, restores, renewals, billing grace periods, expiration, and revocation. • Migration safety, CloudKit compatibility, persistence, and data integrity have received a substantial reliability pass. • Standard Apple keyboard input continues to work normally, including system dictation when enabled on your iPhone. The result is a cleaner companion experience built around three simple ways to write: Journal — write freely. Guided Journal — begin with a thoughtful prompt.
