Face registration, rebuilt • Registering your face now guides you through all five angles and won't finish until each one is captured, so recognition has a complete reference to work from. • Faces are aligned before they're compared, a significant accuracy improvement for "Register my face" mode. • The up and down angles are now reachable on Macs whose camera sits high above the screen, and a hang during registration is fixed. Fixes • The camera preview in Settings now works while scanning is paused. • External webcams and Continuity Camera are detected properly, and the menu bar says so when no camera is found. • Screen lock no longer fails silently in High Risk mode. • High Risk mode now forgets a detection streak after three minutes, so unrelated alerts spread across the day no longer add up to a surprise lock. • In Dock mode, closing the window no longer quits the app.
