A crew on a 5-gas rig and a crew on a corrosive loadout see the same incident completely differently, so trainees learn to match the array to the call. TRUE VAPOR-DENSITY BEHAVIOR Readings shift with sampling height. Heavier gases climb with the nozzle down, lighter gases with the nozzle up, per sensor, live. 23 GROUNDED INCIDENTS A full built-in library covering carbon monoxide, ammonia, chlorine, hydrogen sulfide, phosphine, ozone, fuel and solvent vapor, confined-space asphyxiants, clandestine labs, and a working fire, each with realistic cross-sensitivity artifacts. Also new: import your own scenarios from a text file, on-meter alarm lights, a peak and min reset, and a cleaner Controller layout.

Version 2.5 adds the calibration and fault-handling reps a real instrument demands. NEW: Fresh-Air Calibration Run a true-to-life fresh-air zero from the meter's CALIBRATION menu, with a timed zeroing sequence. Calibrating in a contaminated atmosphere fails, just like the real thing, so trainees learn to zero only in clean air. NEW: Pump Stall / Flow Fault Recognize a PUMP FAULT, clear the blockage, and resume. Build the muscle memory to troubleshoot a blocked inlet or filter before it costs you a reading. FOR INSTRUCTORS (Controller mode) Prompt a fresh-air calibration on any connected trainee, inject a pump stall on demand, and arm a forced calibration failure to test recognition and response. Watch each trainee's live status: zeroing, cal pass, cal fail, or pump fault. Plus reliability and polish improvements throughout. Train hard. Stay safe out there.

Guided Scenarios A new structured training mode that walks trainees through a complete HazMat atmospheric monitoring response, step by step. Select a scenario, verify your sensor cache, and run the call. Sensor Cache Check Before every Guided Scenario launches, the app confirms which sensors are loaded — with a tailored reminder for NH₃ configurations. Build the habit of knowing your instrument before the incident. Improved Scenario Controls Long-pressing MODE during a Guided Scenario no longer powers off the device, preventing accidental shutdowns mid-drill. Controllers stay in control.

New scenarios are published weekly, based on actual incidents — each one includes sensor readings, predicted hazards, response actions, PPE selection, decontamination procedures, and learning objectives. Web Portal Access Subscribers can browse the full scenario library from any browser at praxistrainingllc.com/members using the access key tied to their device — no login or account required. Device Selection The instructor view now shows a live list of nearby trainee devices. Tap to connect — no more guessing whether the connection went through. Connection Error Guidance Both instructor and trainee now display clear error messages if Local Network or Bluetooth permissions are blocking the connection, with a direct link to the relevant Settings page.
