The Back button works every time again on iOS 26 and later. Buttons respond on the first tap: sheets have Cancel or Close, the keyboard no longer swallows a tap or hides the Add button, and a quick double tap saves once. Opening a shared course link works again. Plus small fixes and improvements.

Small fixes on top of 1.15: • The Lock Screen no longer shows a lecture still recording after Semora has closed — it now says the recording stopped, so you know to reopen the app. • Rating Semora from inside the app now opens your own country's App Store instead of the U.S. one. • Fewer interruptions: Semora no longer asks for a rating right after showing you a subscription screen.

Record Lecture is rebuilt for reliability: • Keeps recording when your iPhone is locked or you use another app • Recovers safely from microphone interruptions • Preserves completed audio and retries interrupted uploads • Shows clear recording, upload, and transcription status • Creates structured notes from the complete lecture • Adds timestamps, important marks, action items, search, rename, and sharing This update also includes accessibility and reliability improvements throughout Semora.

The Apple Watch complication and your Home Screen widgets now speak Spanish, so every part of Semora matches the language you read the rest of it in. Also fixed: on a device set to a non-Gregorian calendar, due dates on the watch and in widgets could read years away from the real one. They are correct everywhere now.

Connecting Canvas is now guided from start to finish: find your school, open its calendar in one tap, and paste the link. Paste the wrong Canvas page and Semora recognizes it and takes you to the right one. Courses that appear in Canvas later now wait for your review instead of arriving unannounced, and a second term links to the courses you already have rather than duplicating them. Up next tells you what to work on and what it is worth. The AI tutor works through a wrong answer with you, and fits its explanation to the screen you are reading on. Plus faster delivery of fixes and a long list of reliability improvements.

The AI Tutor (Pro) is rebuilt. It writes its answer as it thinks, shows real maths, and finally knows your whole semester. • Answers appear as they are written — no more waiting at a blank screen • Proper formatting at last: steps, headings, code, and real maths symbols like x², √2 and ∫ instead of raw text • Show it a problem: attach a photo of the question you are stuck on. It reads it for that question only and never files it in your course • Ask without choosing a course and it reads your whole semester — "What should I work on tonight?" answers from your real deadlines, overdue first • It can see your grades: ask what you need on the work that is left to finish with the grade you want • Separate chats, named after your first question. Start a new one, rename it, delete it • Practice questions now aim at the topic you are weakest at instead of picking at random • Reachable where you actually get stuck: from Next Up on Today, and from any open assignment or exam • Rate an answer with a thumbs up or down Fixed: • Tutor conversations were never saved — every answer disappeared once you left the screen • A lecture interrupted part way through could sit on "Transcribing" for ever. It now recovers on its own, or tells you plainly that it could not • Photos taken on an iPhone (HEIC) sometimes could not be scanned.
