Serento - UPnP Control Point
Audiophile UPnP Control Point
Free · In‑App Purchases
Serento is the premium control point for UPnP/DLNA streamers and network DACs, built for audiophiles who demand bit-perfect playback and a modern, responsive interface.
No account. No login. Just your music, your streamer, and Serento.
BIT-PERFECT PCM & DSD
True bit-perfect playback - PCM up to 32-bit/768 kHz and native DSD up to DSD512 - with automatic detection of your renderer's capabilities. DoP and Native DSD pass-through, no conversion, no downsampling. Your DAC receives exactly what's on your drive.
INTERNET RADIO THAT ACTUALLY WORKS
Curated presets for high-quality audiophile stations, including jazz, classical, and hi-fi showcase channels. Add your own stations via URL or M3U import. Live ICY metadata. Automatic reconnect on drops. No more fighting with broken URLs or silent failures.
YOUR LOCAL LIBRARY, BEAUTIFULLY
Browse music from MinimServer, Plex or any UPnP/DLNA server on your network. Albums, Artists, Tracks, Genres, Folder view and a beautiful Classical Music Section. Lightning-fast contextual search.
MAKE IT YOURS
Bookmark any filtered view - Hi-Res Jazz, FLAC from 2023 - and jump back in one tap. Group albums into your own tags. Save albums and tracks to Listen Later, split into Up Next and Listened. Album version grouping collapses remasters and reissues under one cover, your chosen main version synced everywhere.
YOUR TAGS COME FIRST
Serento trusts the tags already in your files before fetching anything. Beyond title, artist, album and genre, it reads MusicBrainz identifiers to match the exact release, and classical Work and Movement tags so multi-movement works stay grouped and in order. Your library's truth wins.
KNOW EVERY RECORD
Artist bios, album reviews, release years, labels and per-track credits - performers, composers, lyricists - pulled from Serento's database and layered on top of your library, never overwriting your tags. Mistagged album? Identify it by hand, or let a sync pass fill the gaps and fetch high-resolution covers automatically.
A REAL CLASSICAL SECTION
Browse by composer, work, conductor, orchestra, soloist, period or musical form - not one flat artist list. Open any work to see every recording you own side by side, movements in order, credits split by role. It stays out of the way until your library actually has classical in it.
SMART PLAYLISTS
Auto-generated playlists built from your own listening history - weighted by how often and how recently you play, then balanced across genre, era and codec. A different way back into your library every time.
DOWNLOAD & GO
Tap Download on any album, track or playlist and play straight from local storage - the same bit-perfect pipeline, zero network. Resumable, survives an app kill, per-device, excluded from iCloud Backup.
EVERYTHING IN SYNC
Queue, current track and volume mirror across every Serento device driving the same renderer - start on iPhone, pick it up on Mac, adjust volume from iPad, no master or follower. Your playlists, My Mixes, favorites, Listen Later and play history sync the instant you change them, near-instant over the local network, with iCloud carrying the rest.
ON IPHONE, IPAD AND MAC
Serento is available on iPhone, iPad and Mac, offering the same amazing experience on all of them and real time sync across devices.

Ratings & Reviews
IMPORTANT
Install 1.1.1 on every device you use Serento on, then sync with your server on each of them: Settings › your server › Sync Data › Sync now. Part of what this version brings is read from your server during a sync, and your devices now share more of the playback session with each other, so a device left on an older version or not synced will not have all of it.
Version 1.1.1 makes your devices and your streamer play as one session, and can place reissued albums in the decade they first came out.
NEW
Use original date for decades, in Settings › Display › Album Settings › Decades. A remastered or reissued album goes into the decade it was first released, when your files carry an original date. The screen shows the one setting MinimServer needs to send it. The year shown on each album stays the same.
Music started from another app. When another app plays on your streamer, Serento shows what is playing, and Play, Pause, Next, Previous and volume control it. Shuffle, repeat and queue editing stay off, because the queue belongs to that app.
IMPROVED
One session across your devices. Play, Pause, Next and Previous from any device act on the queue that is playing and never restart or replace it. Only a new album, track or station starts a new session. Queue edits reach every device, and turning shuffle off restores the original order on any device, also after the app restarts.
A device that was asleep for a while catches up with the music instead of falling behind.
Streamers that publish OpenHome as a separate device start playing at once, with no restart from the beginning and no error over music that is already playing, and the progress bar runs smoothly.
Streamers that offer only OpenHome now appear as outputs, with volume and mute.
When a streamer that speaks two control protocols refuses a command through one, Serento sends it through the other, so playback goes on.
Two players running on the same computer are told apart, so each one plays in its own room.
Repeat one holds on streamers that drop a connection at the wrong moment.
An album belongs to a genre when any of its versions carries that genre. Subgenre tiles appear only when they lead to albums, and the genre filters include the genres of every edition.
An artist shows the same number of albums and tracks everywhere in the app, and the sync screen explains what its Artists number includes.
A disc with a subtitle shows only its subtitle, on up to two lines on narrow screens.
FIXED
After a sync, album pages show the changes at once, without restarting the app.
In Now Playing, dragging the progress bar up or down no longer moves the screen.
A Previous that restarts the current track now shows on your other devices.
On streamers that refused the queue, an album could end up with only two tracks in the queue.
On some streamers, starting a track could show an error while the music played, and a track removed from the queue could still play after the current one.
A crash during Enrich Data on very large libraries.
Serento no longer runs two copies at once when it is opened a second time.
Many bug fixes and other small improvements.
